The GIPSY standard PLAYING cards use “old gypsy” meanings to include the 32 cards. Remove all cards 2 - 6 from this system. This may differ from yours. I believe that it is all about understanding the system you use and if it makes sense to you -it is right for you

7 The act of being in love. Feeling love for someone but they don’t know- mystery love. From this we can derive unfaithfulness. This card points to deception if it falls besides a court card especially if 2 people are in a relationship.

7The card of loss, tears, depression etc. The sadness is short term. The tears are both from grieving & happiness. Temporary set back. Emotional outburst.

7Job, work, occupation. This card means steadiness and security. To “work” at something. Things will “work out”. Changes around work can be ascertained by adjoining cards. In relationship questions this card will bring stability to it.

7A card of warning. Someone that will use unfair tactics to win a situation. A card of plotting & planning. This card suggests something happening fast. It’s main meaning is one of caution because lies or envious people can be involved.

8One of the most powerful cards. It will minimize other moderately negative cards. A pleasant surprise. Count your lucky stars. Beside a court card it will give the person a wonderful disposition. Emotional gratification.

8 A card of minor setback. Small illness. Agitation and uneasiness. This card prevents the smooth flow of a situation. Expect brief delays. A block.

8Another work card but the field would involve finances or travel to some degree. A good vibration. It depicts some money coming in and the achievement of work related goals.

9A card of deep worry. Sickness. Confusion & doubts. This card indicates an area were complete trust and loyalty is lacking. When touching a court card use caution in any communication. Other cards could point to a sickness of the individual as well.

9The card of gifts. To be recognized and appreciated. This card is a catalyst for announcements which are described in the cards beside it. Generally a good influence on it’s own. Small increase in money.

9 The card of negativity. In this we have an influence that is challenging. An illusion- sometimes the person’s own imagination thinking the worst. This card cautions about mis-communications and a variety of mishaps.

10The marriage card. Commitments of all sorts. This card indicates faith in relationships and suggests a harmonious flow unless followed by cards depicting challenges. Coupled with a court card it can point to a married person, one with marriage on their mind or an actual marriage proposal.

10The discussion card. Let’s talk about it. Bringing things out into the open -brainstorming. Within this card lies the emotion of passion both positive and negative (quarrels). Falling beside a court card it will indicate the person is a good conversationalist or a person who talks too much & says nothing.

10The card of financial change. Incoming large amount of money. This can cover many areas such as a windfall, a winning ticket, a bonus check, an unexpected gift of money etc. The energy of this card is positive and will lessens the minor negative cards of loss.

10 The card of travel usually connected to a necessity. Foreign matters- a person at a distance. A major change- much depends are neighboring cards. Questions involving “time” - the answer is a long wait.

J Depicted a young person that is well known, usually within the family circle. This card represents the thoughts of the Queen or King as does the Page in the Tarot cards. It brings a good influence. When you see this card and the Queen or King are missing you will know it is what they are thinking about.

J In this system, the s lean towards the modern day meanings. This card is the person that no one really likes. He or she is found as the instigator of troubles. If you are asking about a favorable outcome and this Jack comes up, the answer comes but not without a struggle.

J The card of the young lucky man. It also represents the thought of the Q and K. He or she would be someone that does not take things too seriously and seems to come out of situations smelling like a rose.

J The card of children, son/daughter/grandchildren. Usually this Jack gets a bad review in it’s associations but here we have more positive meanings.

Q The card of the female asking the cards a question. A close lady friend, the partner of the K , the woman of the household. She is sensitive, giving and full of affection. You can rely on her.

Q The card of the female relative. The mother, grandmother, in-law, the “other” woman. She tends to be more emotionally indifferent than the Q. She can be the a widow , old woman, wife of a friend or even the cashier at your favorite store. Her personality is reserved and she is not overly friendly.

Q The card of the fair haired woman. She is a sister, girlfriend, co-worker, woman with good financial know how. This card is the partner of the K but more on a business or fun level.

Q The card of the dark haired woman. She is an aunt, aging woman, co-worker, in-law, someone’s wife. This card brings loyalty to a relationship with fulfilled obligations. She is the type of female that is a hard worker.

K The card of the man asking for the reading. The family man. He is generally married and has a loving disposition. He is your buddy whom you can count on. He has coaching ability and will lend a helping hand.

K The card of the male relative. He is a father, in-law, grandfather and in many cases your enemy-competitor. He is emotionally cool as the Q. This card can represent an older man, the “other” man, widower, someone who is divorced. In some cases he will be connected to medicine or law. This King is the decision maker.

K The card of the lighter haired man. He is a brother, reliable friend, a son, business associate. His friendship is honest and he is very knowledgeable about what’s going on in the world. This King presents information and brings news.

K The card of the darker haired man. He can be an uncle, co-worker, experienced man, in-law. Usually he is married. He can be the obnoxious neighbor. His personality is stern but he will help you if he feels you are genuinely in need. He is in control in his chosen occupation.

AThe card of the home. This Ace covers many categories such as family, friends, property or issues that involve the home you live in. It can suggest any dwelling. At times it will point to a hotel and a variety of buildings. The cards next to it will help to determine exactly how it is to be interpreted.

A The card of authority. With that meaning we get judgments & decisions. In some cases it describes an illness or a situation causing one to be sick. When coupled with a court card it will tell you what field of employment the person comes from.

A The card of occupational connections. Ideas. This card brings luck to the adjoining cards. An increase of money is shown. Coupled with court cards it describes a person that is intelligent and one who will have connections in the work force.

A The card of large institutions such as court, hospitals, educational facilities, high profile offices. Divorce, death and terminal illness.
