Original Kipper Wahrsagekarten

I was excited to receive the Original Kipper Wahrsagekarten in the mail today.  I have done several posts on these cards already and hope to continue with the deck. Any of you who maintain a blog know it takes a certain commitment to write articles. Sometimes we get carried away with things in our life and often we get dragged into things in other people’s lives. :)

There are 36 cards with German titles.  The 13 extra cards (content on both sides) in the deck explain each card in German. This would be similar a 26 page LWB. The colors on the images are bright and the cards are about the size of a regular standard deck.  Easy to shuffle. Doing a Reading with this deck is in keeping with a variety of other Sibilla style decks.

I’m looking forward to doing some Readings using the Kipper cards. I am in the midst of sorting out about 60 card/book sets I received as a gift from someone special. My Aussie friend bought an entire vintage collection from a lovely lady who (believe it not) lost interest in Cartomancy. Lucky me.

Not sure what my next article will be about as I have so many card systems I would like to feature.  Also, I am waiting for a Lenormand deck sent from Europe which will blow your socks off.  It is breathtakingly beautiful.

3 card draw using Phantasmagoric Theater Tarot

In today’s post I will do a simple 3 card draw to gain some insight into a dear friend’s situation.  A yes or no answer would be good as I am thinking of a time frame on behalf of my friend.  I recently acquired the Phantasmagoric Theater Tarot in a trade. The cards are very large sporting some really cool images. Shuffling or rifling this deck could be a challenge. Luckily, I have large hands. For those of you with smaller hands I suggest you fan them out on the table and mix them up that way.  In a nutshell,  this deck is “a stage” and each card is a “play” with “actors” and “props”.  The images appeal to the Piscean actress within me.

The 42 page LWB has some very simple meanings with a description of the images on the cards.

The cards are being used in this tutorial post to demonstrate the 3 card draw. They can be purchased from US Games Systems 179 Ludlow St., Stamford, CT 06902

Question:  will the property sell by June 2011?

Meanings assigned to the positions of the 3 card draw for this particular question.

Card 1:  Situation surrounding the property for sale

The Seeker

The question marks in the image just about sums up the situation around the property which is for sale. The astrological glyph for Virgo is situated right under the old Hermit represents the 6th House of everyday work and service.  The property definitely is involved in work as it also contains a business.  In the lower right hand corner is one single  jigsaw puzzle piece.  The sale of the property is only one piece of the puzzle of life direction.

This current waiting time is happening for a reason. Other factors are not established yet in the grand scheme of things.  The time is being given as a gift to further contemplate what it took to get this property in the first place and why it is “really” for sale.

Card 2:  The solution

Sergeant Winner

What a cute King of Swords even though he’s trying to look real tough with that sword.  Is the skull suppose to scare you?  There is tiny symbol for the Spade on the King’s right forearm.  Symbolically, spades are linked to work. As a solution card the suggestion for the property owner is to become more aggressive with the promotion of this property.  The card can also indicate hiring a real estate agent who isn’t taking his sweet time attracting potential buyers.  More energy is needed to show this property.

Card 3:  The Answer

The Stage Set

Interesting final card.  In the image a figure sits at the table holding his head which is the World.  On the table are the 4 elements of the Minor Arcana. Plant- Earth. Filled Glass- Water. Candle- Fire. Cloud- Air.  He has everything before him that he needs to nurture the outcome/result.

From the LWB “fulfillment of desires, success, worthy deeds, favourable outcome”.

The Sun is smiling in the lower right hand corner of the card.

This Card points an almost certain YES the property will sell by June 2011.

Madame Dora’s fortune telling cards

What a cute fortune-telling system by Lynn Lott, Rick Naymark and Jane Nelson.

Madame Dora’s set includes 50 cards with characters we can relate to. Each card has a special message right on it. A further explanation can be found in the accompanying 155 page book. The cards are really easy to find in the book because they are in alphabetical order. I really like the color scheme and size of these cards.

Just for fun I did a one card draw.  Humble Harriet was selected at random from the shuffled deck.

Madame Dora’s fortune telling cards

Humble Harriet says,

“Don’t put yourself above everyone else”.

The one statement which stands out from the accompanying book is that friends/people in high places are working behind the scenes on my behalf and to expect good things.  I did have a very important question on my mind when I drew Humble Harriet.  Basically, the advice given is on behalf of someone else which will indirectly touch my life too.

I’m curious to see how the day will unfold according to Humble Harriet.

UPdate: Dec 22

Humble Harriet represented a medical situation.  My precious grandson went for his regular check up & I think the people in high places working behind the scenes would be the nurse & doc. It was all about what was in my grandson’s highest good (the check up).

Medicine cards- expanded version

Today I had a lucky find in a thrift shop of all places.

The original Medicine cards and book I have were published in 1988.  There are 44 animal cards with 9 blank shields cards. (which are intended for the individual to use once the power animals become known to the person)

The version I bought today is the extended deck of 52 cards plus the 9 blank shields published in 1989. The books are identical with the exception of the latter being purple hard cover with 246 pages versus 214 excluding the blank lined pages at the end of the books.

I was amazed at the excellent condition of the book and cards.  I have mentioned in other posts that I had the opportunity to meet David Carson, co-creator of the Medicine cards at the 2006 Prophets Conference on the west coast of Canada.  (a jammed packed weekend of some very interesting ‘new age’ thinkers) I attended one of the workshops which featured speaker David Carson.  He introduced his new deck 2013 cards prior to publication which he described one by one in detail.  I still have my notes somewhere which I took as he spoke.

I sat very close to the front in the large room with some 400+ people from all over the world who attended this amazing conference.  I bought David’s latest book ‘Crossing into Medicine Country’ which he autographed.

The book mentions we have 7 power animals from the 7 directions, north, south, east, west, above, below and within.  The remaining 2 power animals walk with us, one on the left and one on the right side.  (male & female energy) I have yet to determine my 9 power animals but have a sense of some of them because they guide me through the astral travel planes.  A trip I don’t always plan on, :) it just happens. The 9 blank shields are for this purpose.  The power animals belonging to this entourage are not necessarily within the 52 cards of the deck.  They can be other animals you feel a kinship to or that are significant to you in some way.

Game of Prophecy

Last night I had a very exciting and stimulating game of Scrabble with a friend of mine. Both of us came up with 7 letter words while being under the influence of the full Moon in Libra. We get together usually once every 7-10 days to share in conversations and to fuel our passion for word games.

I was gifted with a game called Prophecy co-created by Roy Worley and Robert Sharpe. I have not tried the game yet but plan to very soon as in later tonight. :) Oh goodie another treat to add to my collection. Thanks Kirk! This game combines Astrology, Tarot and Numerology. There are 21 cards in total and 21 different areas (houses) of life.

The Houses

On the board which is included in the game there are 21 houses. They include 9 major areas of life that most people are concerned with such as Destiny, Surprises, Challenges, Business, Life, Love, Finances, Self and Focus. The other houses are the 12 zodiac signs in Astrology. 1prophecy.jpg

The Cards

The deck consists of 12 Tarot cards and 9 number cards. The Tarot cards are based in Egyptian themes. There is a good sized instructional booklet included consisting of 75 pages. Each number and card is explained.

If you go to the Mystical Ship website you can try out this game. You will hear Roy do a 1 card reading. Really cool to hear what he has to say which is much more detailed than what is contained within the instruction booklet. Reading using the Prophecy game will be detailed in a following post

History of Egyptian Tarot Decks

Tantric Dakini Oracle

Today I received the Tantric Dakini Oracle deck in the mail from a friend of mine who I have journeyed with throughout many lifetimes.  Nik Douglas and Penny Slinger [creator of cards] are the authors of the accompanying 244 page illustrated book. I have been aware of this card system for quite some time. I have controlled my urge to expand my card collection over the years. I decided to include certain decks mainly to use in accordance to my needs and the needs of the people requesting readings. It takes years to even attempt to fully master any system.

Many oracle decks are based in certain beliefs systems that perhaps we have not studied and to get any kind of understanding those systems need to be reviewed as well. Some people will use a system simply for the artistic beauty of the images and don’t care much about the background. As always it is a personal choice. It would be too premature of me to write any more details about these cards until I study them for a little while and actually do a layout. At which point I will share some of my findings.

But I couldn’t resist doing a one card draw to see what space I am in.

dakini45.jpg
Isn’t this a gorgeous card? I love it!
Thoughts in the perfection of bubbles while surrounded by the waters of emotion :)

You can see 4 other cards from the Tantric Dakini Oracle deck at Penny’s website. Along with this card set I received a CD by Johnathan Goldman called Chakra Chants [which I love]. Jonathan participated in the world wide OM meditation on Valentine’s Day. If you click HERE you will be taken directly to his website where you can listen to parts of this CD.

I am excited to do a reading with these cards and will share this on an upcoming post. I believe that we are given “tools” at certain times in our lives to assist us in finding the answers we are seeking that are not necessarily of the physical plane.

Thanks Tushko.

What are the Rainring cards?

After finishing the last post I went outside for a change of scenery. I found myself thinking about these cards and the layout I did. I was trying to merge all that I discovered and learned so that I could finish my summary. I heard myself asking the question, “what are the Rainring cards.”

Here is my perception from the little experience I have thus far.

The Rainring cards teach us that we are not quite what we appear to be, not even to ourselves. The layouts used bring the truth to the surface by undoing or opening up the limitations to the roles and the identities we have. And then the journey begins.

When you journey with the cards you will discover your own masks. Once identified, the mask is peeled off and it disappears. In this process you become transformed. When you experience transformation you cross the threshold into new areas of your mind, heart and soul. The result is a new understanding of yourself (or your question).

Regina’s Card system

Back in the latter part of the 1970′s I came across Regina Russell’s “Card Reader’s Handbook”, Franklin Enterprises, MA, 1976. at a local budding New age bookstore. At that time I started to incorporate her method into my readings using a standard playing deck. Over the years and through trial & error, new combinations arose which I scribbled into the book. Also the hand me down meanings which originated in Eastern Europe which essentially are the Sibilla style oracle cards are factored into my summary of each card in the deck.

When I read, I do the standard playing cards first. This enables me to tune into the nut & bolts of the person’s current and pending situation. My intuition may kick in before the reading commences, it depends on the heaviness of the energy surrounding the person. I really never know.

Then I proceed to the Tarot or whatever deck I use. By this point I have already established a reliable foundation from the playing cards. I nearly always have 3-4 decks with me. Sometimes I would ask the person to select a deck from the table.

I always request the person select their own Significator card.
If it is a female, I pull all the Queens from the Tarot and ask her to choose her own card.
This tells me a lot. Is she focused on a relationship (Queen cups), work or money (Queen pentacles), coming from a serious or lonely center (Queen swords) or is wound up with nowhere to spin (Queen of wands)

I am deeply fond of Regina’s system and because of the outstanding accuracies of her book meanings I do a weekly reading for myself. I have some amazing stories about the “hits” with her system. A few months ago I saw the 8 and 9 of spades in my layout with no court cards – I knew immediately news of an operation was coming but I did not know who. I’ve had that spade duo many times over the years.

As it turned out it was my aunt. Quite out of the blue. Heart attack, required triple by pass. When I reviewed the layout after I got word of the operation, the 9 of hearts 9-2-07.jpgwas beside the 9 and 8 of spades. The 2 9′s also intensifies the meaning & gives explanation to the “out of the blue” surprise heart attack.

Interestingly, today I see the same spade duo and once again no court cards. This time the 5 of spades is involved. The 5′s would suggest one of the limbs of the body. According to Regina’s method, this card means the leg area.

I highly recommend Regina Russell’s “Card Reader’s Handbook”. You can buy it directly from her website and she offers the CD as well. The cost is reasonable and well worth it.

1730 Doppeldeutsche Schnapskarten

The deck illustrated below shows the 10′s from the 1730 Doppeldeutsche Schnapskarten deck. My deck is probably 25-30 years old and consists of only 24 cards. I am not certain if the same deck is still available but similar ones do exist with 33 cards. It is my understanding that this deck was purchased in Budapest, Hungary. They are called “Magyar kártya” which means Hungarian playing cards. They are also known as Tell-Cards. József Schneider created this deck somewhere around the early 1800′s.

10 of LEAVES = the suggested meaning for this card is a significant amount of money or financial increase. It would be similar to the #34 FISH card of Madame Lenormand

Leaves have been related to the Spades suit. The Wands in Tarot.

10 of ACORNS = the suggested meaning of this card is business & career matters. Cards nearby would expand on a work situation or business developments. It is linked to the ANCHOR of the Lenormand cards.

Acorns have been related to the Clubs suit. The Swords in Tarot.

10 of HEARTS = family affairs and situations related to the home are represented by this card. I would equate it to the #4 HOUSE of the Lenormand cards.

Hearts have been related to the Hearts suit. The Cups in Tarot.

10 of BELLS = the represented meaning of this card is a time frame, 3-6 months. Cards surrounding this 10 will suggest the outcome of whatever the theme of the cards is to manifest within half a year or so. The Lenormand deck does have time cards but not exactly 6 months.

Bells have been related to the Diamonds suit. The Pentacles in Tarot.

To me, it makes more sense to link the LEAVES with the DIAMONDS & PENTACLES suits.

The ACORNS with the CLUBS & WANDS suits.

The BELLS with SPADES & SWORDS suits.

Another toy for my oracle collection.

nostradamus.jpg

Made in Melbourne Australia by Dynamo House. The Nostradamus Oracle, 36 magic picture cards. What a cute kit. There is a large fold out instructions sheet that is printed on thick card stock – oh so convenient.

The great thing about the deck is it’s size. At first I was surprised at how small it was, but when you lay out all the 36 cards for the reading, it does not take up so much space as the Svetlana Touchkoff’s Russian Gypsy Fortune Telling cards (which I got for my birthday in the 1990′s). Touchkoff’s layout is identical to the Nostradumus layout, as are most of these types of 4 part image per cards are.

It will be interesting to see what the Nostradumus oracle predicts.

Cute, real cute

The Gypsy Bijou Fortune Telling Cards belong to the Madame Lenormand family. The deck I am speaking of is dated 1969 and I recently purchased it from Alota Stuff Collectables (Maryland). The original deck was published in 1910 by Foulsham & Co., London England.

The only difference is that #8 is the broken mirror instead of the coffin and #21 is the rock instead of the mountain.

8-21.jpg
Also there are no playing cards inserted in the background and that’s were the description is placed.

There are brief meanings on the cards in English, which makes it easier to study. I would highly recommend this deck for the beginner. The visual images are recorded by the subconscious and remembered. When you reproduce the card in your mind, you will also see the brief written description.

Good witch. Bad witch.

I do not go out and look for these card sets-they find me, and the great thing is that they are at the price that I would care to pay.

64 page spell book (cute, real cute) and 52 cards (29 good witches, 29 bad witches). You can do readings with these cards. Each card has it’s own meaning and such a wonderful little spell to go with it. I can hardly wait to try some of these out.

This kit would be lots of fun a parties for a laugh although methinks you better not try anything without someone’s consent. Can you imagine putting a spell on the wrong two people- lol, a story for the former Afred Hitchcock hour, long time former, lol.

Personally, I am apprehensive about doing spells of any kind at this time. I think if the intention is there …the Universe gives you what you need.
