Some of the Regina’s card meanings & combinations are used to demonstrate this reading.

It is now 3 months after that reading … and it is a good time to review the hits or misses …

TOP FAN: JACK 5 KING

LEFT FAN: ACE QUEEN 2 MIDDLE FAN: JACK 2 ACE RIGHT FAN: 5 8 KING

LEFT FAN is the passing spot, some influences were still active around the time of the date of the reading. Reading the suits of the cards,we already know that an emotional situation being worked on will end up with a delay or challenge.

ACE represents the home and things going on within the family circle. Love.

QUEEN is generally a fair haired female or close friend, co-worker but in this case is a female belonging to the family (beside ACE)

2is a card about suggesting a separation or removal. I have always read this card to indicate a forced action. Against you natural Will.

Reviewing playing cards reading

This reading is from Oct. 5th using the 21 card layout found in the Card Reader’s Handbook written by Regina Russell and I will make reference to some of her meanings for the cards. [written permission granted by Regina Russell to use her copyright material from her book]

I will only talk about the first four spots in this post. When I begin to analyze a fan of 3 cards I usually do it in point form. These are the steps I use (a) I write the meanings of each card, (b) I look for combinations (c) I include any additional insight which will identify the situation or person (d) attempt to blend the essence of the message using a+b+c. This is a simple method but it is effective.

I have about 3 readings that had the exact same spades combinations which date back to Sept/07. I became concerned about the 89 because through experience I knew it would involved a surgery-but as mentioned before in a few other posts I did not know for sure who.

THE COMBINATIONS

1010- a trip, long distance travel. This trip is made out of necessity because the 10‘s is involved.

89- a major operation or surgery

88-8′s side by side suggest a surprise or unexpected situation involving a conversation about….

579- a potential drug overdose….perhaps accidental?

52- a potential physical handicap

895- operation involving the leg area

1010- a leakage

A- this Ace under a fan of 3 cards indicate a decision has already been made. Or could it be that a death may occur and it is in God’s plan

PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER

News will come in about someone, probably a male member of a family who will require major surgery. There is much worry and concern about this condition because not all has been revealed. It will involve the leg area and possibly the heart. Thus a heart attack.

There are strong suggestive cards that point to a problem involving drugs….a reaction, an overdose or maybe even an allergic reaction.

There is only one topping the fan but it is a heavy duty one which shows the end result will be upsetting. I have seen the combination of 957 (drug overdose)in three separate readings and this concerns me. One of the meanings of 10is body fluids. This can be read an pneumonia when in connection to the 89 which happens sometimes to a person who endures a stressful surgical procedure.

When I did my daughter’s cards last week and she encountered the issues around the vehicle, the Tarot revealed the situation around the current family member who had the heart attack yesterday plain as day in the following two cards…. [upheaval involving the family/home].

The bad news I said was coming was not only about her vehicle but it was yesterday’s news as well… It is very important to remain open minded when reading any cards because there are multi-level meanings that materialize and an oversight is very easy. There were other things I said to my daughter which made absolutely NO SENSE in the context of the Celtic cross I did but a few of those cards were  STAND ALONE situations.

Today I received news of someone special in our family ending up in the hospital with a heart attack. I don’t have all the details yet because it happened a few hours ago.The leg is involved – a blockage which is preventing the flow to the heart.A major operation is pending.

Interpretations

:a phone call is received about or from a business. The information is not totally revealed but it is nothing serious. A minor miscommunication.

:news comes from a mechanics garage regarding some problems with a vehicle which requires repairs. The 3 denotes a test and this suggests that the vehicle did not pass, ie. safety check, e-test etc.

:a trip is decided because of issues involving upsetting communication between “someone”

Interpretations

:a layout of money is involved regarding a vehicle that involves a business owner- the mechanic

Interpretations

:an offer of a partnership comes through an invitation from an educational institution

:a legal document is given at a place of amusement as a gift, ie. lottery ticket

:a loved one forwards legal documentation regarding a visit

QUEEN - a woman in position of power and control, dark haired female, sadness

9 - distressing news, upset, delay

3 a celebration, an emotional situation, connections to blood

Interpretations

:a dark haired female is distraught over news regarding a condition involving her blood

:a female in position of control is upset over an emotional situation

:an unhappy situation is filled with delays but will end on a positive note ending up in a celebration

2 MONTHS opportunites or challenges

ACE an invitation, exciting news, a new beginning

ACE vital decision, a death, worry

JACK - a young fair haired man, male connected to finances, an aggressive female

Interpretations

:double ACES suggest a sudden surprise involving a major decision that involves a young fair haired man

:a male connected to finances is very worried about an invitation

:an aggressive female hears news of an ending (death) which resulted from a new beginning

The blending (story) has not been done at this point only the “wording” of the cards.

3 ACES- suggests an upheaval in life direction, major changes will happen within 2 months involving many different areas. The ACE is missing- this means that the home/loved ones are involved.

There are many combinations in this reading on top of the few key phrases I have given.

The story contained within this reading…..

1. Involves a young man who has purchased a vehicle. It required minor repairs but this new expense was not within the budget thus causing him much financial worry.

2. The young man and his girlfriend broke up and out of that hurt a trip was booked to travel a great distance over water. The decision appeared to be mutual & was triggered by aggressive behaviour.

3. The male has the relationship on his mind but did everything possible to salvage it. The girlfriend is a dark haired female. She is in an “upset” mood mainly because of her own issues and could have an imbalance in her blood work.

4. A significant change of lifestyle awaits this young man which can be an opportunity or challenge over the next two months.. however the crux of this reading has materialized within 2 weeks.

5. There was a small win of money but it came in the form of a compensation check from his employer for work that was done in the past. In any event it was a surprise and not expected.

There is much more to this reading. I just wanted to illustrate part of the process of delineation. A brief scan.

Red 1 Death……………………….Blue 9 Big Wish

.I got a telephone call from Veronica today. She was very excited to tell me that she has received another opportunity despite the fact her contract was not renewed by the organization. I mentioned to her that it sure didn’t look promising but I never got a complete No or really negative cards in relation to her question. And she agreed that she was too quick to judge the reading and it was just a matter of time for the promise of potentialities to materialize.

It is not even 1 week since the cut off time for Veronica to find out about the contract renewal or other opportunities. As I read my own interpretation from the original 3 cards, this is what I said on Oct 21st,

“As I study Red 1 and Blue 9 my intuition tells me that a wish will come true but not in the way that is expected. I don’t get an overall positive feeling for the outcome. Anytime the wish card in Tarot 9 of cups is surrounded by negative cards it points to the unlikelihood of direct manifestation. The fact that the Big Wish is the last card tells me that something will develop, perhaps another opportunity for Veronica that stems from her original contact with that organization but maybe not within the organization. It could be the “drop of a name” reference or referral.”

Veronica was referred to another organization that could utilize her skills. The lead came from a female that was connected to the original job. This came up plain as day in the 6 card standard playing card reading. It is shown below.

.The Queen of Diamonds was the pivot or hinge card in the 6 card layout. This is precisely what happened.

I said, “The Queen of Diamonds is looking at the 6 of clubs. The responsibility of employment is in the hands of the Queen. This can develop in many ways. If it is Veronica’s card- then it is up to her to seize another opportunity. If it is a female manager- it could point to the discussion about an extension or something entirely different but within the same organization. If the Queen represents another co-worker there could be a situation come up that will enable this extension of the contract but not in the way that is obvious at the moment.”

“The responsibility of employment is in the hands of the Queen.” The Queen was the lady who made the referral & the Queen was Veronica because she had to accept the new position. Ditto!

Health question

I recently had a close friend of mine request of me to ask on his behalf the following question, “ask the cards if you will if my anything in my neck and/or cerebral blood supply is causing this condition….thanks“

Initially I did not want to ask the cards a health question because I am not a medical professional. I explained my feelings and because he has already gone to a doctor and had tests which showed nothing is organically wrong, but his symptoms still continued- I agreed.

Below are the 6 cards from the Fortune tellers deck by Jane Lyle that I drew, using the Regina Russell 6 card layout. In Regina’s book Card Readers Handbook she has a section called Health Rulership of the Cards (c).

All the cards are black and 5/6 are spades. Not exactly a positive reading at first glance.

Question from previous post. Will Veronica’s contract be renewed?

The results came and the contract was not renewed. Apparently the strength of the 5 spades (separation) influenced the outcome. Even though the Queen Diamonds was the “pivot” card – this card represented Veronica being estranged from the King of Diamonds (the man in control of the financial decision).

The 6 of clubs is the finale card and it is very subtle in it’s message – “The Queen of Diamonds is looking at the 6 of clubs. The responsibility of employment is in the hands of the Queen.”

Example of 6 card Reading

This reading was done using Regina Russell‘s 6 card layout that is included in her book called the ” Card Readers Handbook“. The summary of the reading below is using Regina’s card meanings to illustrate the delineation process of the layout as well as some additional insights I have.

The entire deck of 52 standard playing cards is shuffled and 6 cards are selected to answer a specific question. I have had great success with this layout over the past several decades. The odd time the question wasn’t answered but those were rare occasions. And that could have been because the question was not specific or direct.

In the image below you will see the cards involved. I will briefly describe the meanings of the cards in the positions.

The answer to this question will be revealed on Friday or Monday.

Question: Will Veronica’s contract be extended?

.The first two cards- Ace of Diamonds & 4 of Hearts describe the recent/ past or the basis of the question.

.The second two cards- King of Diamond & 6 of Clubs describe the future outcome or result of the question.

.The third two cards- 5 of Spades & Queen of Diamonds describe the present or current process leading to the result of the question. The spot is basically the now spot.

.The Queen of Diamonds in the bottom right hand corner of the spread is the trigger or the “pivot card for the spread”.

Recent/past-The Ace suggests a new beginning and new people. An invitation was offered to Veronica for short term contract with an organization. She accepted.

The 4 of Hearts points to a mutual agreement which occurred from this invitation. A type of partnership was formed, mainly employee-employer partnership. This card’s meaning is marriage also but we are not asking a romantic type of question

Present or Current- The 5 of spades is a card suggesting loss of opportunity. The core meaning of this card is the ending of something. Within this card lies the meaning of having to basically fend for yourself.

The Queen of Diamonds would represent Veronica. It could also depict another fair haired female that could be involved in the final decision about the contract OR it is quite possible the contract will be extended because of a lighter haired female’s activities and not necessarily the person who would help out to secure the contract. Sometimes position become available through synchronicity- being at the right place at the right time.

Because the Queen of Diamonds is the card to really study before coming to any conclusions regarding the outcome of the question- it does shed a ray of hope because it is generally a positive card. But because the 5 of spades is so close it would influence the positive energy to a some degree.

Future outcome/result- The King of Diamonds is a male surrounded by financial power or who is in a position of strength. This could be a manager or the person responsible for agreeing to continue this contract. After all, it will cost the organization money to pay Veronica’s wages.

The 6 of Clubs indicates that someone (King of Diamonds) will want to talk to her. This card also means “to provide a service”. The 6 also means electronics to some degree such as radio, stereo systems and even sports. The core meaning of the 6 of clubs to take take things into your own hands.

The answer to the question is not totally negative….

There is only 1 spade and it touches both the King and the Queen. The court cards are from the same suit – indicating some sort of relationship between these two people. The 5 of spades is between the 2 court cards and that strongly suggests a separation- a parting of ways.

The Queen of Diamonds is looking at the 6 of clubs. The responsibility of employment is in the hands of the Queen. This can develop in many ways. If it is Veronica’s card- then it is up to her to seize another opportunity. If it is a female manager- it could point to the discussion about an extension or something entirely different but within the same organization. It looks like the reading is leaning towards a yes however there are 2 strong cards suggesting a no, the 5 of spades & the 6 of clubs. I have always read the 6 as a card that points to “it’s up to you”.

[Another very interesting thing is that the organization has a great deal to do with providing a service related to "radio" - 6 of clubs] The answer to this question will be revealed either Friday or Monday.

 

Regina’s Card system

Back in the latter part of the 1970′s I came across Regina Russell’s “Card Reader’s Handbook”, Franklin Enterprises, MA, 1976. at a local budding New age bookstore. At that time I started to incorporate her method into my readings using a standard playing deck. Over the years and through trial & error, new combinations arose which I scribbled into the book. Also the hand me down meanings which originated in Eastern Europe which essentially are the Sibilla style oracle cards are factored into my summary of each card in the deck.

When I read, I do the standard playing cards first. This enables me to tune into the nut & bolts of the person’s current and pending situation. My intuition may kick in before the reading commences, it depends on the heaviness of the energy surrounding the person. I really never know.

Then I proceed to the Tarot or whatever deck I use. By this point I have already established a reliable foundation from the playing cards. I nearly always have 3-4 decks with me. Sometimes I would ask the person to select a deck from the table.

I always request the person select their own Significator card.
If it is a female, I pull all the Queens from the Tarot and ask her to choose her own card.
This tells me a lot. Is she focused on a relationship (Queen cups), work or money (Queen pentacles), coming from a serious or lonely center (Queen swords) or is wound up with nowhere to spin (Queen of wands)

I am deeply fond of Regina’s system and because of the outstanding accuracies of her book meanings I do a weekly reading for myself. I have some amazing stories about the “hits” with her system. A few months ago I saw the 8 and 9 of spades in my layout with no court cards – I knew immediately news of an operation was coming but I did not know who. I’ve had that spade duo many times over the years.

As it turned out it was my aunt. Quite out of the blue. Heart attack, required triple by pass. When I reviewed the layout after I got word of the operation, the 9 of hearts was beside the 9 and 8 of spades. The 2 9′s also intensifies the meaning & gives explanation to the “out of the blue” surprise heart attack.

Interestingly, today I see the same spade duo and once again no court cards. This time the 5 of spades is involved. The 5′s would suggest one of the limbs of the body. According to Regina’s method, this card means the leg area.
