The Nile Fortune Cards

The Nile Fortune cards 68 X gold edges have all the meanings on the actual playing deck on all four sides. This makes it easy because there is no need to memorize anything. Blending the cards around the center LIFE card will give you key sentences that you can build up on yourself.

In the example below we can summarize the significant influence using the 8 cards around the LIFE card. The actual layout has 17 piles of cards around the LIFE card with 3 cards in each pile except the 17th pile has 4 cards.

I think when studying this layout with all the cards would take a considerable amount of time at the beginning even though the meanings are right on the face of the card. Card synthesis is a skill- not everyone has that skill but it can be learned. Reading intuitively requires skill as well. If you DO NOT know the difference between your EGO voice and your SPIRITUAL voice then your intuitive readings will still be based in EGO and you will be what is called a ” text book reader”, and a text book reader never adds any intuitve insights to the reading. Reading cards is similar to playing the piano, guitar or flute. Some people have to practice forever and for other’s it is a natural ability which is picked up quickly.

Looking at the reading below.

#1-7 clubs, #2-5 clubs, #3- 2 spades, #4- Queen spades,

68x-2.jpg

#5- Jack clubs, #6- 5 spades, #7- 8 clubs, #8- 2 clubs

#1 – a debt unexpectedly paid

#2 – you will marry a second time

#3 – a removal

#4 – brunette of jealous disposition

#5 – an open, sincere friend

#6 – your companion in life will be devoted to you

#7 – a journey by car or vehicle (well it could be a broom, ha-ha)

#8 – an acceptance and pleasant journey

You can summarize those meanings quite easily. I wouldn’t attempt reading this deck unless you have lots of time, because it will take you at least an HOUR to figure the full layout out. And if you thought the full board of 36 in the Lenormand or Ziguener was challenging – the Nile fortune cards exceed even them.

Marriage question-

I shuffled the Nile Fortune cards and did another layout thinking about a question, will I ever re-marry.

I won’t write all the cards down in this post but I had to laugh at two combinations that came up.

In #7 spot I had the 3 of clubs, right underneath my Life Card and in the inner square.

In spot #16 & #17 I had King of Spades and the 10 of diamonds.

The funny thing is I have only been married once and it is also eerie that spot 1 & 2 beside my Life card says this.

nile7-9.jpg

The last layout did say something about a reconciliation. Wow. So I am getting divorced. I haven’t even thought of getting married for the second time, let alone three times as the 3 of clubs states. Cards are so much fun.

I think I will ponder on this some more and perhaps pose the question to the Symbolon deck to clarify.

Nile Fortune Cards Layout & Reading

I took a closer look at  this deck and there is some faint gold still left on the edges.  There is a brief instruction leaflet describing the layout that I am about to analyze.

nile.jpgEach number has 3 cards except 17 it has 4 cards.=52

You take the Life Card out of the deck.  After you are done shuffling, you lay them out face up, around the Life Card.

Cards 1-8 around the Life card are the most powerful.  The secondary cards 9-16 are minor influences and each cards influences 2 cards from the inner square.  Card 17 is tied into cards 15 & 16.  For example card 10 ties into card 1 & 2.

On with the reading.

#1-4 diamonds -difficulty in collecting money

#2-7 diamonds- slander or scandal be careful

#3-Ace hearts- feasting and merry making at home

#4-10 clubs- a new appointment or investment

#5- King of hearts-thoughts of a fair man

#6- 9 diamonds-victory over your enemies

#7- 5 spades- your companion in life will be devoted to you

#8 -Jack of hearts- a good male friend & a royal good fellow

Ok the next part-

#9 -5 diamonds (success in love affairs) has something to do with card 1 & 8. A good male friend (Jack hearts) who has difficulty collecting money (4 diamonds) will be successful in love.

#10- Jack of clubs (a dark young man) has something to do with card 1 & 2 which are negative in nature.  The news could be about this young man having money problems and who is on the receiving end of slander.

#11 -2 diamonds (a marriage without the parents approval) has something to do with card 2 & 3.  The feasting depicted by the Ace of hearts could very well be the marriage, and if it is without approval then there would be a scandal or slander.

#12 -King of Clubs (a frank, liberal and good friend) has something to do with card 3 & 4.  This man could be linked to the home (ace of hearts) and it could be him that is getting married (2 diamonds).  Not sure how the new appointment (10 of clubs fits in)

#13 -4 spades- (an old acquaintance re-newed) has something to do with card 4 & 5.  The King of hearts (thoughts of fair man) could be the reconciliation.  Again not sure how 10 clubs (new appointment or investment) fits in.

#14 – 10 spades (news received at night) has something to do with the thoughts of fair man (King of hearts) and victory over your enemies (9 diamonds).  News comes late at night about a fair man.  The King of hearts is staring right at my Life Card- I must know this man and he must be a family member or close friend.

#15 -7 clubs (a small sum of money received) has something to do with card 6 & 7.  A devoted companion and victory over enemies bring me money, LOL.

#16 -Ace clubs (prosperity and wealth) has something to do with card 7 & 8.  I like the sound of that.  A good friend who will be a devoted companion might be well off.

#17 -3 spades (being true to a friend will injure your fortune, be careful)- great!! it was starting to sound good.  This card has something to do with 15 & 16 – the small sum of money received and the prosperity & wealth.

It would be interesting to do this layout again….. this time thinking about a question to see if the cards answer it, which I am sure they will.

More cards-

Today’s arrival was the 68x The Nile Fortune Cards that I purchased from Ginger  (check it out)nilecards.jpg

Not sure of the actual age of these cards but will research it. I will have to put them on the list of “to do readings” to get a feel for them. They should be easy to read because the meanings are actually on the cards. Kinda takes the mystery out of it but it is all about synthesis. What is obvious to me, may not be that obvious to the person getting the reading.

The Lenormand follow ups to the readings posted a while back should come up shortly as I am starting to get feedback.
