.Sometimes when you want to see the circumstances around a person you could take the significator card that represents them and place it in the YOU spot (X). There is a universal understanding that cards should not be done specifically for a person  who is not present unless they request the reading. But we all cheat at times, and go ahead by doing the reading anyways.  However, if a full board reading is done we still can find out about other people who have not given approval.  I guess it’s all up to you living by your own code of ethics.

PAST. sun, ship, house - In the passing days or weeks X would have had success (sun) which lead to the movement (ship) or increase in business. Due to this,  X’s home situation is in order and the cards show X being busy.  The coming and going of situations involving the home.

NOW. heart, gentleman, lady- X is a man who generally has a positive disposition (sun+heart).  He is thinking about a relationship at this time (heart card is above him). X will be in touch with T. regarding some things belonging in or from the past (lady card is beneath him).  There would be a discussion or some sort of communication that should happen. The cards show they are or could still be friends (gentleman, lady are joined by the dog card).

IMMEDIATE. This time frame can be determined ahead of time.  It can be a few days or a few weeks, it depends on the person’s state of mind at the time of the shuffling. Bouquet, dog, key- some information will be coming from the queen of spades (usually a darker female and not necessarily older as depicted in traditional meanings). She can be a girlfriend (bouquet+dog). Out of a friendship or desire to be a good friend, a solution or answer will come to T.  The key opens doors to further opportunities for discussion.

SOON. This spot’s time frame can be adjusted as well.  It can be within 1 week or 1 month (or longer) Mountain, snake, lily - There is some frustration or obstacles coming in the next few weeks. There are 2 queens in the layout (bouquet,snake), one of the meanings for this duo is that a tempting invitation or offer will be made known.   Traditionally snake+lily indicates a romantic attraction or lingering feelings.  

Many times readers forget to factor the intellectual aspects of the snake card.  
And other problems shown by the mountain card will be figured out and in the end harmony (lily) prevails.

The bottom row tells me that T.  will have better security (key) with a more mature male (lily) even though this reading is geared towards X.  But she is represented by the lady card and if you follow that row to the end -those cards belong to her as well. This row holds 2 Kings suggesting an agreement or settling of a dilemma.

No doubt there are several other ways to analyze this reading and my interpretation is merely a brief overview.  This reading is an example of possible delineations using the Lenormand.

A brief overview of the Simple Trigger Layout using the Zigeuner Wahrsagekarten from a request in the comments section.

Past - Cards 1,5,8 -describe the recent past-the last few days or the recent circumstance around your question.

ENEMY, THIEF, CONSTANCY- “the past is clear and accurate”

Now-Cards 2, YOU (#29), 9 -describe the now-what is going on with you -your thoughts and feelings.

GIFT, SWEETHEART, DESIRE- “the past is clear and accurate, the present is as well”

Immediate- Cards 3,6,10 -describe the immediate future, a day or so. These cards will tell you what to anticipate.

MALADY, HOUSE, MARRIAGE  “could this mean no imediate change to this situation regarding a relationship hitting home”  

. Malady.  This card addresses issues of fatigue or the slow movement of things.  

  House. (trigger card)  Issues surrounding the home and family are significant.  The House can mean one’s own inner temple.

Interpretation:  Your analysis is very good. Due to a situation that is in a very slow stage of development, the relevance of home/family issues or related thoughts will trigger a focus on commitment or some sort of “working out” of a problem.

. Message.  The delivery or correspondence of feedback that comes in the form of information is shared. 

   Falseness. A card of misinterpretation of information or receipt of some news that is not exactly true.  Something is missing and all the facts are not in yet.
   Visit.  Generally a positive influence.  It brings some intent to discovery of gaining an expansion of what is known.  A possible gift could be in the offing.

 

 

Interpretation: You analysis is in keeping with the theme of these cards.  The visit can be by J or even yourself.  ” Visit” can also be interpreted as re-visiting information that you have received as in discussing things of the past that may or may not have happened.

Reviewing the Garden + Birds cards

As I sometimes do - I post questions about the cards from the comments section on the blog. I will use your layout cards as a tutorial to demonstrate possible interpretations. I find this also helps others to learn.

.The image above displays the Simple Layout using 12 cards. I created this layout so that I could get deal only with 1/3 or the Lenormand deck to answer specific questions. In this spread you have to remove your card 1st from the deck and place it in spot #6. Lady for female and Gentleman for male.

I will analyze the cards strictly from a tutorial perspective and illustrate the process of delineation. This post is offered to help others understand this process. The obvious associated meanings with the cards - we all know- but when you look a little deeper -a new version of the meaning could develop. There are 2 cards of focus for expanded observation, the GARDEN and the BIRDS cards.
What does the GARDEN card suggest?

20. PARK- Positive influence. All things creative & entertaining such as casino, art gallery, musical concert, etc. Being out in public. To be exposed- publicity.. Coupled with the COFFIN card can suggest a cemetery. With the TREE card – a healing retreat, spa. Surrounded by negative cards can point to slander. Near the LADY or GENTLEMAN card- a person that is an extrovert, someone who likes to be center of attention.

The GARDEN is a card about a social situation. It refers to all that is connected to leisure activities including meetings of all kinds. When this card is next to ( in this case) or near the significator card (spot #6) it suggests that the person is surrounded by a field of supportive systems such as people and situations.

The LADY and GENTLEMAN are bonded by the influence of the GARDEN’s meanings.

What does the BIRDS card suggest?

2. BIRDS – Suggests lots of blabbing. “Girl/Guy talk”. Can represent two of anything. With the STORK & CHILD, strong possibility of twins. (2 of something). As a characteristic, a person who can talk their way out of a wet paper bag. Making a mountain out of a molehill. Short travel. With the SNAKE, beware of flirt.

The BIRDS card is all about communication. It brings news that is through electrical means, such as the telephone, email or even text messaging. Often this card foretells the announcement of a trip or journey. When this cards is surrounded by negative cards, the news is also negative in nature and can cause some sadness or grief. In this case there are very positive cards near the BIRDS card. I have found this card also to mean the desire to leave or depart.

Many times it is a card of “worry” but it is more of a gnawing feeling versus nervous……………….

Rather than write my interpretation in the comments section. I haven’t done a brief Lenormand reading in a post for quite some time and this is a good opportunity to demonstrate the Simple layout as well..

First of all if you are doing the Simple layout your Significator card, Lady or Gentleman should be in the ‘YOU’ spot as shown on the diagram. I am a great believer in the fact that the cards are shuffled in the way that they are suppose to be regardless of instructions.

In this case there is no Significator card. It is unclear to me who this reading is for- that was not stated. I presume it is for Sufiyo since the comment starts with “i got”. But the “i got” could be for someone else.

The suggestions below are basic meanings and offered for educational and entertainment purposes.

The spot reserved for the Significator holds a wonderful positive card #31 Sun and I will use this card as the focus for this reading, namely one’s happiness.

The coffin card is the important one in the past column. It suggests a conclusion or ending of a situation which was brought on rather abruptly (scythe). As a result a financial situation (fish) has become important. Remember this is only one way to read the Lenormand. It also depends which deck is used. Just because the Lenormand are similar, it does not mean it is always an exact fit. Cards have their own personalities and they change somewhat when associated with other cards. A fair haired man depicted by the Fish card is very much involved in this situation of the recent past.

The challenging time of the coffin/scythe are nearly over. It is in the finalization period (cross) at the current time. Happiness is around the corner and certain issues & situations will be a thing of the past once and for all. A financial situation (fish) will improve & grow. (bouquet) If we are talking about a fair haired man (fish), then he will once again be in a position of prominence.

Happiness will continue to grow (sun + tree) despite some feelings of alienation or loneliness (tower). There is some news on it’s way (letter) that is professional or formal in nature (tower). It could involve work or a job (anchor).

The Ship suggests movement & growth (tree) in regards to the NOW card. Sometimes Ship + House means a change of location or residence. It looks like it is a good way to go. The Anchor indicates stability in things to come.

The Scythe, Coffin and Cross are in the passing stages- whatever the hardship was -it will no longer be.

Dog 18 Clover 2 Child 13- Veronica experienced a brief connection with someone new (R) and that is the reason she is asking the question. Dog & Clover can suggest a fleeting or passing opportunity.

Vertical Row #2-Cards 2, YOU, 9 describe the now-what is going on with you -your thoughts and feelings.

Bear 15 YOU-Veronica 29 Fox 14- Veronica is overprotective of her feelings (bear) and is suspicious, not in a trusting mood (fox) right now.

Vertical Row #3-Cards 3,6,10 describe the immediate future, a day or so. These cards will tell you what to anticipate.

Cross 36 Ship 3 Key 33- The cross is not always a welcome card. When it is beside the ship (movement, travel) it prevents or delays. The key card shows a definite answer to her question. If he doesn’t call and ask her out for a date-that is her answer.

Vertical Row #4-Cards 4,8,11 describe soon, less than a week. It’ll give you an answer to your question.

Bouquet 9 Broken Mirror 8 Tree 5- The broken mirror basically says it all. She can expect a disappointment whether R. asks her out or not. The bouquet is a pleasing card usually, indicating a fondness but next to the broken mirror (coffin card in most Lenormand decks) there will be an ending to the potential of anything growing (tree) or branching any further.

Clover 2 Veronica 29 Ship 3 Broken Mirror 8 - The trigger line suggests she had short encounter in the past, and there is distance between them which eventually will lead to a dead end. The distance is because they are not an item yet.
Keeping the meanings nice and simple can still give you a general feeling of the outcome. There are many combinations in this layout as well that can be considered. I think Veronica would be setting herself up for an emotional fall (cross & broken mirror). She is overly affectionate (dog & bear) or too needy for attention. She wants someone to protect her (child & fox). And that is precisely why she attracts males that end up exploiting her (fox & tree) life force- sucking her energy. Sometimes the ship card can indicate the desire of getting away or thinking about escapism. The crosss & ship suggest anguish- a yearning heart. Another test(cross) for her to work through and figure out (key). The broken mirror can also suggest a shattered self- image or the inability to see the totality of the entire situation around her question. A distortion- leading to a distorted desire for an answer.
