Queen of Diamonds. PATH

PATH and COFFIN combination.

The PATH card suggests a choice in direction. Often a decision needs to be made when there is more than one way to arrive at a solution or when you need to choose one opportunity over another. The COFFIN card indicates the choice you decide on will probably end in failure or with a challenging result.

Even though the COFFIN card points to a dead-end you do have the option of re-visiting the alternative road depicted in the PATH card. If the COFFIN card were the SCYTHE for example then all bridges have been burned and serious ties have been severed by the decision you made. The COFFIN symbolizes termination. Within this card is a small ray of hope to begin anew as with the death of a loved one they continue in spirit form instead of the earthly physical form we are accustomed to. From actual death of any situation many new situations are born.

Other choices presented to us are not always clear when we are in the midst of decision-making. Let’s say you are faced with staying with your current job or applying for another position. Many people beat themselves up about this dilemma. Giving up the security of a regular paycheck in exchange for being a rookie in another position is both challenging and exciting. In this case, the COFFIN card is forewarning you to circumstances which you are not seeing correctly. Take off your rose-colored glasses and really look at the choices suggested by the PATH card.

Staying put for the time being is a decision and the COFFIN card tells you that you will not advance in your current job. Nor will your relationship develop much further if you were contemplating on ending a relationship because the lure of greener pastures is strong.

Simple Trigger Layout

Reading interpretation for Female E. using the French Cartomancy deck. The featured spread is the Simple Trigger layout.

TRIGGER ROW: COFFIN. LADY. HEART. LILY.

Female E. is represented by the LADY. In the past column we find the COFFIN suggesting some sort of ending or new direction involving a male -FISH. The past column does show optimism regarding this new direction which is depicted by the SUN card.

In the now column the GENTLEMAN is directly above the LADY. This means the male is very much on her mind. She is thinking about him quite profoundly. He in turn is worried about money (FISH) and some challenges (MOUNTAIN) which are before him. Beneath the LADY lies the WHIP card. This card foretells some disagreement coming or lack of clarity in communication.

Directly in front of the LADY is the HEART card falling in the immediate column. The female is looking right at this card. Her emotions are tied with this male (GENTLEMAN) and she will be a little suspicious (SNAKE) in the near future. The obstacles suggested by the MOUNTAIN card will be in the relationship (HEART). The female feels something is not right (SNAKE). It could be another female (SNAKE) involved.

By the time Female E’s birthday rolls around this situation should be resolved.  The LILY card promises that harmony will be restored.  The SCYTHE in the soon column suggests the aggravations of the MOUNTAIN card will cease. The CLOVER depicts a fast solution.

The overall important card in the Trigger Layout is the LILY card. It is positive. The Layout ends in the CLOVER card which suggests whatever dilemma is going on now it should be concluded before Female E’s birthday.

What do the Lenormand cards reveal?

What do the Lenormand cards reveal?

I am going to briefly interpret the 20 Lenormand cards belonging to a full board (36) reading.

The GENTLEMAN card is the significant other of the female LADY of this reading.  Here we can see that he may be keeping secrets BOOK from her regarding a possible health issue TREE. It looks like he may have gotten some news LETTER in the recent past which requires some further investigation or solutions KEY.  I want to read ANCHOR as something which is rooted TREE in his past and which could also involve a female STORK Queen of Hearts friend DOG.

The LADY represents the female getting the reading.  The BOOK card touches both the LADY and GENTLEMAN cards and means there is something hidden from the lady which involves the male. As you can see the dark  CLOUDS are ahead of  her in the immediate future column. The King of Clubs is looking towards the LADY card and I want to read this as an imminent situation coming up.  The RIDER is bringing some news or circumstance into the LADY’s life real soon.  Maybe even within the next few days.  I can’t help but think the GENTLEMAN has a strong association with this.

Is the RIDER bringing news of grief BIRDS and undue hardship CROSS?  Will there be a sudden SCYTHE turn of events from a situation which was not revealed BOOK to the female?

Let’s look at the HEART card next.  This card will reveal the female’s emotional situation.  It looks like there will be a fated event CROSS affecting her emotions HEART which will cause her much unbalance WHIP at the beginning of this circumstance.  Changes STORK are coming which could end up in a huge argument WHIP.  The LILY card hints at a romantic connection which will as a result end up in a decision PATH of which way to go after this episode is brought into the open.

When the BEAR card is near the HEART it does suggest a powerful attraction.  Another way to read BEAR is as a person, an older man.  Many Lenormand card Readers use the HEART card to actually represent the physical heart.  If you look back in the same row you can see the TREE card which does suggest health to a certain degree.  For the most part ANCHOR is positive, however, it can also mean something which will not go away like a disease.

I have a gut feeling the GENTLEMAN has a health issue TREE and the extent of it is not fully known BOOK.

Let’s examine the SCYTHE card next.  We all know this card can be very negative when connected to BIRDS,  CLOUDS and CROSS.  The only way we can read these cards in a positive way is to determine if the abrupt chaotic situation is beneficial in the long run.  Short term pain long term gain.

There is no doubt in my mind the female represented by the LADY is in for quite a disturbing time over the next few weeks or months.

Those are just a few possible predictions.  The cards reveal much more when you criss cross them or read just the rows or columns. Each card is a word of a sentence. When you establish the sentence you have a theme or probable prediction.

Card of the Day. Pages of Shustah. Red 3-Separating Fence. Follow Up.

DAY 8

Today turned out somewhat different than I thought it might as my days are monopolized by the condition surrounding my father.  One of the meanings of the Red SEPARATING FENCE card hinted at an emotional and/or physical distancing going on.

I did experience something like this today.  There was a very indifferent mood coming from a close male friend of mine who in the past had been very much concerned for my well being. At first this bothered me but then I changed my reaction to one of being more aloof.  I was sensing something behind this distancing.  Perhaps my friend is fed up with all the time I spend at the hospital and making it more of a focus in my life.  Perhaps he is reconsidering his involvement with me.

When I came home I threw the Lenormand cards into a full board reading to try and gain some added information around the Gentleman card. You can do this.  The cards not only reveal what’s happening around you but also a special or significant someone in your life.  I did this mainly to see if the Lenormand cards tied in with the Pages of Shustah SEPARATING FENCE card.

In the current column I had these two cards above the LADY (me).

I find this duo very interesting because to some degree they tie in with the SEPARATING FENCE.  The COFFIN above the GENTLEMAN indicates he is thinking of an ending or is not all there emotionally speaking.  Could it be he  has given up and does not plan to put any more effort into our connection.

The experience of the Red Shustah card today certainly felt like he may be contemplating on pulling away from me due to the disturbances in my life right now.  This does sadden me but I know I have to let go of any attachments and accept what will be unconditionally.

Maybe today was just one of those plateau days.  As always tomorrow is a new day.

#8 The Coffin

MYSTICAL LENORMAND deck

and PETIT LENORMAND by B.P. Grimaud (Made in France, 1976)

coffin.jpg

The Mystical Lenormand #8 card COFFIN is rich in symbolism. In the upper right hand corner you will see the Roman Numeral VIII which represents the 8th house (Scorpio) in the Astrological wheel. The 8th house deals with death & endings as well as numerous other topics. The portrayal of the Coffin is stunning and not spooky at all. It has a feel of eloquence and honor to it. The two cobras on each side at the bottom of the cards suggest renewal as well. The winged scarab is a talisman that was used by the Egyptians during funeral rights- dying with dignity.

The Petit Lenormand is quite picturesque in that the 9 of diamonds is on the top left hand corner, the number 8 le cercueil, the coffin in the upper right corner of the card as well as several scenes in the bottom of on the remainder of the card. It is depicted as a negative card because in the Petit Lenormand by B..P. Grimaud, pink represents good and white represents bad or negative. The meaning written on the card states “delay, hindrances, worries, action, quarrel, temporary drawback, loss, seperation (which is misspelled)”.

I have noticed that in this Petit Lenormand deck, published in 1976 the meanings reflect the standard cards more than the common pictorial cards. Each of these 36 cards also has a different flower on the bottom of the card in the center, which I do not have extensive knowledge of.

What does the Coffin card mean in a layout?

-it is the announcement of an ending
-something is finished
-time to say good-bye
-can be health related in a negative way
-sealing up
-no use beating a dead horse
-early stages of re-birthing into another direction
-let it go

In combination.
coffin + anchor = possible illness that has set in on a serious level
coffin + fox = lack of work, taking a leave a absence, job position being re-categorized
coffin + park = hospital, medical facility
coffin + sun = a good recovery, a healing, a reunion

lady+ coffin + gentleman + scythe = it’s a dead end connection which will be terminated suddenly
coffin + heart + sun = don’t lose hope because it can work out
rider + coffin + sun = news which was appeared negative at first, is a blessing in disguise
