Simple Trigger Layout

Reading interpretation for Female E. using the French Cartomancy deck. The featured spread is the Simple Trigger layout.

TRIGGER ROW: COFFIN. LADY. HEART. LILY.

Female E. is represented by the LADY. In the past column we find the COFFIN suggesting some sort of ending or new direction involving a male -FISH. The past column does show optimism regarding this new direction which is depicted by the SUN card.

In the now column the GENTLEMAN is directly above the LADY. This means the male is very much on her mind. She is thinking about him quite profoundly. He in turn is worried about money (FISH) and some challenges (MOUNTAIN) which are before him. Beneath the LADY lies the WHIP card. This card foretells some disagreement coming or lack of clarity in communication.

Directly in front of the LADY is the HEART card falling in the immediate column. The female is looking right at this card. Her emotions are tied with this male (GENTLEMAN) and she will be a little suspicious (SNAKE) in the near future. The obstacles suggested by the MOUNTAIN card will be in the relationship (HEART). The female feels something is not right (SNAKE). It could be another female (SNAKE) involved.

By the time Female E’s birthday rolls around this situation should be resolved.  The LILY card promises that harmony will be restored.  The SCYTHE in the soon column suggests the aggravations of the MOUNTAIN card will cease. The CLOVER depicts a fast solution.

The overall important card in the Trigger Layout is the LILY card. It is positive. The Layout ends in the CLOVER card which suggests whatever dilemma is going on now it should be concluded before Female E’s birthday.

Lenormand Fox in 8 card block

Mystical Lenormand

Previous post on the Fox card - 25 SEPT 2007

Previous post on the Snake card – 24 May 208

Even though I use the multi-level meanings of these cards at different times I get the same feeling from the FOX card as I do with SNAKE.
I’ll use an example taken from a Lenormand full board reading which you can see below.

French Cartomancy Deck

FOX is behind the LADY and SNAKE is above her.  Do you suppose she is surrounded by some deception involving the GENTLEMAN who is ahead of her in the near future spot?
Obviously the RIDER has delivered some news (LETTER) in the very recent past to this LADY.  This event is on the LADY’s mind at the current time. You can gather that a decision was involved (PATH) which turned out to be somewhat underhanded.  Whatever happened in the past the appearance of FOX and SNAKE was not an enjoyable experience with the LADY.
It looks like someone is lying to the LADY or she found out about an sneaky motive?  Maybe she is lying to herself and pretending these circumstances don’t exist.  Is the LADY playing a mind game with the GENTLEMAN?
There are lots of angles to these cards.  Interestingly, the CLOVER sits above the GENTLEMAN.  Could he have had a brief temptation with the SNAKE female?  It is highly possible but the fact that CLOVER is a card of speed it would be just a passing thing, like a few hours conversation in a bar or on the telephone.
It is difficult to determine any outcome of this situation with just the cards I have shown but what lead up to this situation can be estimated.
This LADY will talk to the GENTLEMAN or see him in person within a very short time because these two cards are side by side.  What they will discuss will be the outcome of this previous/current situation.
Here are all the cards in the two columns which the LADY and GENTLEMAN appear in. Looks like there might be a parting of ways (TOWER)  or dissolving of the friendship (DOG) which the LADY is not fully aware (BOOK) of at the time.  Her hopes and wishes (STARS)  surrounding the GENTLEMAN will bring her much disappointment.

How would you read the cards below?

READING the CLOVER card

The image above is part of a 36 full board reading.  There are many ways to read the Lenormand cards in this type of layout. One easier way is to locate ‘theme’ cards and use them as a focus.  Let’s suppose you wanted to know how the CLOVER card would bring some luck or a short term situation.  When you read the cards immediately surrounding the CLOVER card it is a good idea to follow some simple steps.

There are 5 cards surrounding CLOVER.  These 5 cards should all tell a story around the focal card the CLOVER card.  Will they all tie in?  At this point it is unknown but as I take each combination the prediction should become more clear.

2 CLOVER- this card is one of rapidness, an influence not staying with a person or situation for a great length of time, it suggests an element of luck or uplifting energy, traditionally it is 3-4 days and possibly a bit longer if the adjoining cards are ones of resistance

12 BIRDS + CLOVER

One of the meanings of birds is grief.  When you use this interpretation then the grief will  be of a short duration.

15 BEAR + CLOVER

One of the meanings of bear which I like to use is either power or a significant male.  Coupled with clover this duo can mean temporary good times are caused by a male.

CLOVER + 20 GARDEN

The first card often means a group of people.  In combination with clover it can point to having fun with a circle of friends.

CLOVER + 3 SHIP

Many readers interpret ship to mean travel.  When combined this duo can suggest last minute travel or enjoyment.

CLOVER + 8 COFFIN

Coffin can be read as an ending.  Joined by the clover the ending could be amicable or surprisingly well.  However, the card next to the coffin will actually reveal more.  Initially the ending can be a superficial nice parting of ways until the emotions kick in.

Here comes the part where the blending could be a challenge. We have determined there could be a possible separation or at least a situation where there is some sort of division.  The CLOVER and SHIP combo meaning doesn’t fit in very well and can be an aspect or contributing factor to the entire theme.  CLOVER and GARDEN points to a pleasant experience as well and so does the BEAR combo.

Since we are targeting the CLOVER card in this theme it is important to stay on track.  Of course, there are a multitude of other meanings when these cards are read horizontally, vertically and diagonally but if we did that it would only complicate the one simple theme around CLOVER.

Ok so let’s complicate this a little more.

BIRDS, CLOVER, COFFIN

-a circumstance filled with grief is short term and does eventually end

BEAR, GARDEN, SHIP

-a powerful male surrounded by many people plans to travel

BIRDS, BEAR

-grief caused by a powerful male

COFFIN, SHIP

-an ending is followed by travel

Judging  by the other combination meanings there is definitely a significant male involved, some sort of sadness and an ending.  The ship  could be read as ‘moving on’ or flowing out of the picture.  The group of people (GARDEN) might even be certain friends being instrumental in this ending as in the male chooses his friendships over and above everything else.

Is the CLOVER card a luck card in this example?  Not really.

DAILY CARD.

If you drew the CLOVER card as your card of the day, put your mind at ease and go with the flow.
It will be a day that will progress quickly. Not many delays today. Messages and news will arrive in time without much effort.

You might win some money on a scratch lottery ticket- Not a huge amount but a win nevertheless.
If you are wondering how your date will turn out later in the day – it will be wonderful but might be cut short for some reason. It’s the quality of time versus the quantity that matters.

Yes you will get that second interview that you are thinking about.
Your mood will change suddenly so that you are more optimistic and have a good feeling of general well being.

You find extra minutes on the parking meter. You show up for an appointment, and are taken before your scheduled time.
Your creativity will increase rapidly. You find yourself thinking about how you have been blessed & how lucky you are.

Test results will be favorable or to your advantage. Music fills your ears as you open up to the band that is playing.

CLOVER is your mini good karma card.

2. CLOVER

July 27, 2006

#2- clover (6 of diamond) is a delightful little card no matter what type of layout you use whether it is a 3 card draw, celtic cross or the full 36 cards. The energy of the clover card could be equated to neither good or bad (positive or negative), but it is generally good. The reason I say it is not all positive or negative is because it can be swayed or persuaded to take on the energy of a stronger card. This happens in the cards too, ha-ha, not just out there between people. It is a passive personality of sorts.

In my experiences I have found that the clover card brings immediate or short term influence probably less than a week’s time. In some cases, depending on positioning it can indicate a very positive outcome. You need to remember though that it is a passing influence-here today gone tomorrow.

For example, questions about love relationships or romantic involvement the clover tells you to enjoy the moment because there is a very good chance it is not long lasting. But if the anchor or key follows it, these cards will provide more stability and longevity. If the scythe or stork are close by, expected sudden changes or a surprise dissolution and not necessarily in that order.

You could be heading for sudden worries (birds) or hear unexpected news (letter, rider). The nature of the worries or news will be shown in the surrounding entourage of cards. Don’t you just love this, it can be mind boggling LOL.

The clover card is also about luck-you’ve heard of a lucky streak. When near the fish & bear, it is about financial luck or increase in money. The clover card +fish card can mean instant cash. When the fox or anchor are involved it can be luck about job or work. Yes, the fox doesn’t always have to mean a deceptive situation.

If the lady or gentleman cards are involved, even some of the other court cards (once you have decided to use them as people cards) the clover will point to a person that is friendly, likable, and easy going OR an emotional pushover.

The clover in some circles is associated to magic and if linked with the moon or star cards can mean occult interests. Now a word on the word occult. Has a stigma, doesn’t it? Black magic and all….not always. We are doing occult work in a way because we are talking and sharing information about the hidden, mystical or secret knowledge of certain topics. Am I getting off track LOLOL?

OK, back to the clover card. Near the cute little mouse card- rapid loss.
With the rider card-one huge surprise
With the clouds-annoyances come out of nowhere and disappear just as fast. Kind of like having one of those days when you feel disconnected.
Beside the ring=sudden engagement
With the lily=unexpected sexual encounter
