open ended 4 card layout

I will use 4 cards from the Zigeuner Wahrsagekarten deck to illustrate an open ended 4 card layout.  There are no designations assigned to the spots.  They will be read like a sentence, linking one card with another resulting in a theme.

This type of layout is good when you want to just read the cards as is.  You can use more than 4 cards or as little as 2.  I believe that no matter how hard you focus on a question, you will not always select the cards to give you the answer that is connected to the original question.  Most of the time you do, but not every time.  I’m not sure why this happens but I think it is because a person may be thinking about one thing and have deeper feelings about something else.

These 4 cards will represent the present or current time leading into the near future.  The last card can be viewed as the outcome/result card.  In the example, we are dealing with a man and a woman.  I will read these cards as if it is a female who cast the reading.

You can look up the brief meanings for the entire deck under the header tab called  “zigeuner”

Sweetheart - the female doing the cards

Anger - the emotion she is feeling right now or will in a very short time

Lover - a male she is involved with

Death - conclusion, end, finalization, the outcome of the entire experience of the previous cards

Our main card for analysis is the Anger card.  Common sense dictates there is an argument involved or some conflict in communication.  The very in depth description can be downloaded  —->visit the direct link to  SCRIBD website.

That sounds way too easy doesn’t it.  Well maybe that is all it is, a “fight” which is sometimes normal for couples.  This “fight” is different, though.  The dynamics of the relationships will change dramatically. There will be an ending.  Most likely the female will know why this argument is happening or about to happen. Any plans that these two people did have will be cancelled temporarily.  If you wanted to at this point you could draw one more card to get a better idea why this fight is happening.  Place it across the Lover card. This new card will reveal to you what is on the Lover’s mind.

The card crossing (clarification) is Merriment.  He could be thinking about the good time he had with someone else and this is why they are having heated words.  If the last card was a positive one (which it is not), Merriment would be read as the male being a peace loving individual who was easy going and who really did not want to argue.  Maybe the Sweetheart lady instigated it.

Anger + Merriment= points to passion, intense emotions that come from a situation that gives much pleasure of the senses.  One of these people is having an affair or relations outside of the relationship.  The consequences of this affair will lead to an ending between the Sweetheart and Lover.  No matter what happened the relationship will never be the same.

Can it be salvaged?  We all know that in order for the birth of anything new, something dies. Yes, they can still be together if they forgive each other and rise above it.  And who can really do that when heightened emotions are involved.  Merriment suggests his thoughts are elsewhere.  He just wants to have fun and probably isn’t too seriously involved with the Sweetheart even if he is her husband.

Other interpretations are possible & can be more specific when you do your own layout.

Death card

I thought I’d sneak in a post that I had prepared a few days ago while I have a bit of free time to blog.

The suggested meanings apply to the ART DECO, BIEDERMEIR and ZIGEUNER decks specifically but can be adapted to any one of the SIBILLA cards.

SUGGESTIONS

Being despondent, an ending, saying good-bye, finalization, letting go, a separation, it’s finished, charging your batteries, waiting for results, fear of the unknown, throw out the old shoes, your contract is up, harvest, time for renewals, exfoliation, replacing the engine in your vehicles, inner house cleansing, loss of loved one, fright, permanently, removal, time has run out, the answer is NO

The Zigeuner DEATH card
- has the image of a skeleton in a white sheet. In it’s left phalanges it is holding an egg timer.

The Beidermeier DEATH card
- has a skeleton with a white flowing sheet holding a scythe in its left bony hand.

The Art Deco DEATH card
-depicts a skeleton cloaked in a white sheet holding a scythe in its left hand. It emerges behind a coffin with a wooden plaque.

ABOUT THE CARD

When the Death card shows up in the layout it brings closure and an ending to a situation. There will be a finalization around the person in the neighboring cards. It can be the end of a relationship, a job, a dream, a plan, a goal, and even a problem or worry etc.
Things HAVE to END so that new cycles begin. Endings happen all the time. Things do not go on and on forever. An aspect or part of a situation always ends even though the totality of the situation remains the same, thus new beginnings.
This card will prevent further advancement of whatever is depicted by the card which precedes it because one of it’s meanings has been terminated.
In other words – TIME IS RUNNING OUT. Expect a change in plans or direction.
Expect a turbulent time with lots of changes. But it will be good for you as it expands your horizons. The change can relate to persons or places. Your relations can get deeper (move together, marriage). You meet new people; at your job you can get more responsibilities or change to another company. Maybe you move to another town. If your present situation is bad it will improve soon and everything will turn out to your advantage.

DAILY GUIDANCE CARD
It looks like today you just might clean out that closet and throw out what you don’t need anymore. You could be saying good-bye to someone who is moving away or has left your workplace. The answer is will NOT be forthcoming and if it does come it will most likely be a NO. A good day to go to a spa and get a facial. Getting rid of the dead skins cells on your face helps to promote new growth that is fresher.
The legal papers arrive in the mail. It’s time to renew your insurance policy. Hearing the news of a death. Going separate ways. Your cat or dog has run away.
A situation presents itself today that will put the finishes touches where they belong. Construction in your home is finally done. The blocked off street has re-opened.
A current situation is having closure. It could be a relationship you are in. Sigh, it’s finally over –time to heal and move on. All things end, let’s face it. Getting rid of the dead skins cells on your face helps to promote new growth that is fresher. Ask yourself what situation or person is in the process of leaving your life?

Your Chi is stagnating and it needs to get some healthy movement. And only you can do that, it is your life-force. So breathe it in and breathe it out! Pinch yourself to see how it feels to be alive.

Death #19

artdecodeath.jpg Art decodeath_19.jpg

unknown/looks like piatnik

Both cards have the skeleton coming from the right side of the deck. I say both because the two cards on the right are identical. The card with the #19 is an original non-colored card from the late 1970’s or early 1980’s that my aunt sent me from Slovenia. The card on the right did not have a box so I cannot identify it but it is exactly the same as the piatnik’s card. The languages that appear on the bottom are different though from the Zigeuner Wahrsagekarten (6 languages), this one has 4. The numbered card has no English other than what I wrote on it.

Is there a significance that the skeleton is looking to the left? One has a scythe and one has an hour glass. The hour glass is full on top indicating that time hasn’t run out yet but maybe is starting to- looks like some sand is passing through to the bottom of the hour glass.

The Deco card shows a mound with a wooden tombstone and an empty plaque on it- awaiting someone’s name. Both cards have a pitch black background. I seriously think that lots of detail was omitted because it doesn’t really matter, death is death. An end is an end.

The way I want to interpret this card, especially the Gipsy card on the right is that “time is running out” and will eventually end. I think these cards are spooky looking but they sure do get the message across. I almost like the “coffin” card better in the Lenormand style cards.

With the death card, it doesn’t appear as there will be a new beginning- in the Deco card the skeleton hold a scythe which severs and cuts off- at least with the coffin card you get the suggestion of reincarnation to some degree or renewal. The Gipsy death card which includes the Deco card because the core cards are the Gipsy cards- can suggest

-fright-death-permanent loss-closure-finalization-ends badly-removal-severance-not enough time-

On the bright side-

-it’s finally over-class is done-no more waiting-keeping to a schedule-plane has landed-orgasm(wink)

-the eggs are ready HA-HA had to throw that in.
