Gipsy Lover

The Zigeuner Wahrsagekarten Lover card is quite interesting to interpret.  If you look closely at the jacket this man is wearing you will see a difference from one side to the other. Glove on one hand none on the other.

A Man? A Lover?

When the Lover falls in a future spot in the layout and you are a female receiving a card reading he could be a potential love interest. If you are in a situation whereby you are experiencing a famine in your love department he’s just the guy to spice things up.  :)

Always check to see what cards are near him. Be aware if Jealousy is nearby because he could have a deranged girlfriend you don’t know about. Most of the time he represents your significant other, someone you are in a relationship with at the present time.

It’s not hard to find out what is on the Lover’s mind or what situation is around him because he will always be in your layout when you do a full board layout using the 36 cards. When doing a shorter layout and he shows up there will be some significance to your connection. Perhaps an argument (Anger), visiting some friends (Visit), going on a trip (Journey), or finding out he is cheating on you (Infidelity).

Many traditional card Readers don’t believe in Reading someone’s future unless they have consent from the person. With the Lenormand cards as well as the Zigeuner (and several other Sibille style decks) how can we not see what the other people are doing if they are in our layout, lol.

At the same token you can discover what is really bothering you as well by meditating on the cards surrounding the Sweetheart (female getting the Reading). The cards which come between you and the Lover card are very important. Are they low energy or positive? Do you foresee a problem in the near future or will you skip down the yellow brick road for the next few months?

I think it can be quite helpful to study the cards around the Lover in the event there is a cooling period in your relationship. Maybe it has nothing to do with you. There might be other situations weighing down your Lover-Man. It’s not always another woman….could be a man.

We woman have a very direct image within the Sweetheart. There is no indication of the many different roles we play in men’s lives. The Lover card will be the plain ol’ guy you sit on the couch with on a Saturday night or the guy with the 6 pack chest twirling you around on the dance floor.    Luv this card!

Did I mention if you are a male the Lover will represent you in a layout? You can do the same thing and look for the Sweetheart to gain more information about your special lady or potential future lover……

Zigeuner Wahrsagekarten – 12 card Trigger Layout

Dear Friends: Thank you for all your kind well wishes for my granddaughter Katja. All is Good.

In todays’ post I will be using one of my favourite decks in the Trigger Layout. The Zigeuner Wahrsagekarten or Gipsy fortune-telling cards. Sometimes you just don’t want to do a full board Reading. It does get overwhelming trying to interpret all 36 cards. This is exactly why I designed this simple layout.

You have an option as far as time frames with this layout. Prior to shuffling decide what time frame you want to use in Columns 3 & 4. Remove the Sweetheart (if female) or the Lover (if male) from the deck.  Lay the cards according to the image below:

I always scan the Trigger row (middle) first to get a feel of the situation. I don’t talk about this row right away. I usually start at Column 1 – Past

Note: You don’t have to use the Sweetheart or the Lover cards. You can pick any card out of the deck which you think represents your situation. Also, you can decide not to pick any card at all and that’s ok, too. The cards will tell you what it is you need to know at the time of shuffle.

TRIGGER row – 5, YOU, 6, 7. LOSS. SWEETHEART. DESIRE. FALSENESS

This row is the essence of the reading, the rest of the cards will describe or explain to you what surrounds the essence or core theme. When you read these cards you will get a good glimpse at the entire layout.  The remaining cards are the details surrounding the TRIGGER cards.

LOSS. SWEETHEART. DESIRE. FALSENESS.

Let’s keep the interpretations real simple. A female who in the recent past experienced some sort of shortcoming in a situation or an actual loss is yearning for things which may not be in her best interest. These 4 cards are powerful. We need to find out what lead up to them and what followed them. That’s just one way to Read these cards.

Sweetheart + Widow duo

In our example today I am displaying an older version of the Zigeuner Wahrsagekarten which has 7 languages.

Sweetheart with Widow as crossing card

This layout is the simple two card draw.  Let’s suppose a female drew the cards.  The fact that the female significator card, SWEETHEART was the 1st card tells me that there will be some personal and pressing issues to address.  The female will probably need to spend some time alone (WIDOW) to do some soul searching about a matter which may have involved the loss of something or someone. She could be depressed or feeling out of sorts and not her usually cheery self.  She will be facing her demons head on.

This would be one way of interpreting this duo.  There are other meanings.

Another equally correct interpretation is that the WIDOW card can also represent a significant female who could involve the person in conversations about some problems.  There will be a sharing of feelings and a sharing of stories.  There could actually be a funeral involved.  At this point I would probably draw another card for clarification of the WIDOW card.

More often than not the sibilla style cards represent situations.  In some cases the card can identify a person.  In our example both delineations could be happening at the same time.  The WIDOW  might trigger some emotional responses which come from a conversation with another lady.

The female drawing this duo will know of the WIDOW’s circumstances before the selection of the cards.  This card is powerful and it’s influence is usually felt prior to the situation.  As a card reflecting one’s emotional state it suggests intensity and various degrees of self experience.

UPDATE: As an add on to this example (actually a real life situation), the female (SWEETHEART) received devastating news delivered by an older woman (supervisor & divorced) that her services are no longer needed at her place of employment.  Yes, the female will be doing some soul searching because she will need to secure another job.  One of the reasons this situation pains (WIDOW) her so much is that it feels like a death of sorts – an ending filled with grief.

Zigeuner

In this image you see a pretty young woman sitting on a table of sorts. It’s difficult to tell if it is wood or cement. Her dress is a pinkish color, fully flowing and she wears beads around her neck with a pendant. Her feet are not visible. In the background there is partially blue sky but mostly clouds. A few branches with leaves are seen as well as a shrub/tree. In the left hand corner at the top of the card is a heart. It is not one solid color of red, half is a darker blackish red. She appears bored and is sitting there in a rather uncomfortable pose. If you look closely at the outline of her figure her posture is a display of her goods.

Biedermeier card

In the upper left hand corner is a two tone red heart. The lady wears a long flowing gown with a veil flowing from her headpiece. She gazes at the letter that she holds in both hands. Behind her is a naked cupid holding a bow with no visible arrow. In the center of her bodice is a red rose.

Art Deco deck

There is an image of a youthful looking woman sitting on a grassy knoll wearing a red dress. She faces to the left of the card and is looking at the bird/dove in her right hand. Another white dove is close to her. Her legs are crossed. The background of the card is yellow and white.

ABOUT THE CARD

When the Sweetheart appears in a layout, which it usually does if you use the entire deck she will bring focus to imminent issues or situations of a personal nature. If she does not show up in a reading using less cards this indicates most of the circumstances around her do not involve her directly on a physical or emotional level.

Male’s reading:

Represents the love of his love, a mistress, girlfriend, wife, common law partner. If there is no significant other Sweetheart represents someone that he is interested in and maybe doesn’t know how to approach. The cards surrounding her will tell the man who is getting the reading done, what role she plays in his life and what circumstances are really around her. The cards surrounding the Sweetheart card gives an immediate glimpse into what is on her mind and what situation is around her at time of reading.

Female’s reading:

Sweetheart represents either yourself or the female getting the reading. Using the full board layout she will always be in the “present” -therefore all cards surrounding her in the vertical line will describe that current events explaining the opportunities or obstacles surrounding her.

DAILY GUIDANCE CARD
In a male’s reading: You will have an excellent connection with your special lady today. If you are not currently involved then the Sweetheart card suggests that you will come into contact with a charming female or situation that pleases you. The female represented by this card will be influential in a pending decision or part of today’s plans. You will either speak to her or see her. In some cases it can actually portend a “blind date”.

In a female’s reading: You will be the center of attention today. It’s all about you. Take the day off to pamper yourself and reconnect with you femininity. Certain people call you to get your input in matters that are related to relationships. An old girlfriend you haven’t talked to in ages gets in touch with you.

Zigeuner Wahrsagekarten / Gipsy Fortune Telling Cards Nr. 1 are identical to No 1901 with the exception that the latter has 6 languages and the other has 4 languages.

In Europe, laying out the cards is called map pulling…The first card I want to discuss is the sweetheart, geliebte, bien-aimee, ljubavnica, amante, szerelemes no -and no I am not using a keyboard to install some of the accents, not yet anyways.In this picture you see a pretty young woman sitting on a table of sorts. Looking at her I get the impression she is bored and sitting there in a rather uncomfortable pose. If you look closely at the outline of her figure her posture is a display of her goods.

This card in a man’s reading represents the love of his love, a mistress, someone that he is interested in and maybe doesn’t know how to approach. The cards surrounding her will tell the man who is getting the reading done, what role she plays in his life and what circumstances are really around her. A good way to find out, eh.

In a woman’s reading, sweetheart represents herself and once again depending on the adjacent cards the theme is developed around the current situation. Now I will back track for a bit because if she lies in the future side of the layout -the right side and once again I have the 4 rows of 9 cards layout in mind. Just to keep things simple at first.If the sweetheart lies in the “present” in the man’s reading, he will either speak to her that day or see her.

If the woman is consulting the cards, she will always be in the “present” -therefore all cards surrounding her in that direct vertical line will describe that days events, possibly 2-3 depending if the cards are of obstacles etc.

You see there is a tremendous amount of information that needs to be synthesized before a reader should even begin to speak of the meanings. A thorough knowledge of each card is necessary because you can’t very well tell your client, “oh, just hang on while I think about it for 5 minutes, LOL”. You could stall..but it’s better not to. Move on to something else and go back to it.

sweetheart/letter=news was, is or will be received by physical means, email, letter, msn, telephone, but usually in .

s/gift=a gift was, is or will be received

s/child=pregnancy, concern over a child, a new beginning with the next card to it

s/merriment=going to a dance, out on a date, party etc.

s/death=Hmmm, did, has or will experience a sad circumstance. An ending but always with the hope of re-birth. If the widow or widower is next to the death card, it could give you the gender of the person that passed, has passed or will pass on.Another way to interpret this card is a darkened heart filled with grief. False hope.
