The Enemy As a Situation card:

ENEMY

The ENEMY cards suggests a situation is around you which appears to be not in your best interest.  It could be someone who is not what they seem.  More than likely these circumstances have a way of lingering on around us even though we don’t realize it.  Often emotional strings still remain even if the person or situation has left our immediate lifestyle.

Death as a Recent Past card:

DEATH

The DEATH card is either welcomed or feared.  Since it falls in the spot of recent past this means the energy is departing out of your life. Something (job) or someone (relationship) no longer serves a good purpose in your life and it is just as well it will be part of the recent past.  The death card suggests the elimination of things which no longer are productive or fruitful like a dead end job or dead beat relationship.

Widow as the To Come in the Near Future card:

Even though the WIDOW card doesn’t give the impression it is a joyous immediate future it means you could feel down only for a short time. It also suggests making new connections which as an outsider initially are challenging to do.  As the pending energy card the widow suggests you will be just fine and shouldn’t push anything.

The best advice would be to allow the natural flow of situations.  Whatever the cycle is it will develop into a new one within a few months (always keep the final card in mind when giving such advice).

Journey as the Result or Outcome card:

JOURNEY

What’s the outcome?  You will embark on a trip. The  JOURNEY card does indicate actual travel (trip or change in location) away from that something or someone which is slowly passing out of your life. You will leave behind what has ended or ceased to exist in a way to give you happiness.  If you move (home or job) you will have new beginning but will more than likely have to sever some other ties of past familiarity.

People and situations are in our lifestyle but when change comes knocking on the door (as is represented by the death card) we usually say good bye to aspects of certain connections. Often parts of our personality die and are reborn much stronger.

10 Judge + 13 Marriage= 13 Marriage+10 Judge ?

simple INTERPRETATION

10 Judge + 13 Marriage - a visit to a professional or legal representative because of matrimony. The Judge in this case is sought after to offer services to assist in matters such as a divorce or legal separation.

13 Marriage+10 Judge - in this case the Judge could still be a lawyer but his services are needed to assist in marriage or a prenuptial agreement.

28 Journey + 34 House= 34 House+28 Journey ?

simple INTERPRETATION

8 Journey + 34 House – there would be plans to  travel to someone else’s home. Often a change of residence is implied with this combo.

34 House+28 Journey – someone from the home environment is planning to go on a trip.  Often the relocation has already occurred.

simple INTERPRETATION

20 Priest + 10 Judge - when these two cards fall together the suggestion is an event like marriage, funeral service or even a meeting with school officials. As a person it can be a doctor, funeral director.

10 Judge+20 Priest - the meaning is pretty much the same when there are 2 people cards combined. The card that follows or precedes these two would be an action card like a verb in a sentence.

I found a little difficult to understand the flow of action with these cards which seems different as Lenormard cards.

——–>So much depends on cards which are before and after the duo you are asking about.  The Lenormand cards do have a little different flow when interpreting them but actually are quite similar. “Each card is simply either a noun, verb, adverb or adjective just like in a sentence.” If you keep this in mind you can Read any cards from any deck.

Gipsy Journey + Officer combos

Here is a list of some combinations of the Journey + Officer (Gipsy) Zigeuner Wahrsagekarten. They are applicable to the Art Deco fortune telling cards as well and Biedermeir (less the 4 cards that are not included)

Journey + Officer=…………………………………….Officer + Journey =
-an obvious meaning such as a policeman being involved, in some cases this can actually be a crew of people working on construction on the road you have decided to take, the Officer person can be in uniform as is the case most often and can range from a train conductor-tour bus driver-pilot-and even a guide through a picturesque area you are visiting, the Officer is there to assist and help however if you go against a set of rules the officer person will also remind you of that

-a delivery person presents you with paperwork to sign for the package that has come from a great distance (or doesn’t fit in your mailbox), you go to the post office and pick up a parcel

-in romantic situations these two cards will predict the meeting of an individual that while on vacation, trip or on an excursion of some sort, there will be an instant attraction with the temptation of a romantic involvement, the card following the Officer card will tell you the outcome of this connection

-there are many other “common sense” meanings with this duo and it is always a creative challenge to look at the cards in a slightly different manner keeping in mind that when these cards were created they were limited only by the limiting realities of that time

- a person involved with the maintenance involving the care of horses, a racetrack, a jockey, etc and this points to a Vet, not restricted to just horses can be a farming enviroment as well

-as another occupation these two cards could represent a Marital Arts instructor or one of these discipline because a “uniform” is a code of ethics or rules of the game, the Journey card would point to the travel within this particular discipline

-on a work or business level these two cards suggest being on the road more often than behind the desk in an office, thus a truck driver would fall into this category because he/she is traveling to pick up or deliver goods according to the specifications of their employer, a mechanic, a salesperson with a territory to look after

-within the Officer card I see a protective element as well as a combative energy, combined with the Journey in the latter observation these two card will suggest physical aggressive or assertion, most sports require physical exertion and in most games we have officials such as umpires, refs etc,

-when you fall in love with a person depicted by the Officer card there is a small warning to you that more than likely they will take off or move because they are gipsy-hearted in the sense that they cannot settle down but certainly do love adventures

-this duo of cards can foretell an urgent matter required a quick decision or sudden trip to attend to the need of another person, kind of like when you get “that phone call” and you drop everything and basically flee out of wherever you are, in some cases this is a joyous occasion and in other cases it is negative

- Journey + Officer does suggest a mishap involving what is on the land and in order for it to be air travel the Letter or Thought cards need to be touching the Journey card

-you can think of many other meanings for these two cards in combination and they will come to you during the process of having the layout in front of you

When you select journey as a one card daily draw it is self explanatory as are most of the cards. I think the Biedermeir Aufschlagkarten and Zigeuner Wahrsagekarten present imagery to trigger intuitive and sometimes fairly obvious deductions.

Really what does a journey mean? If you look at the scene in the card it shows are horse driven carriage speeding along with a female passenger.

You already know that you will most likely go somewhere today that you did not plan on going to or thought about it off and on and then suddenly decided to “take off” and go-

Your journey card can predict an actual trip involving airplanes, buses, trains etc but only you would know that. If you are expecting a visitor and are not sure when they will arrive, today just might be the day.

Other trips would fall into the Astrological house #3 ruled by Mercury/Gemini. The short distance trips.

It can be anything from running off to get your hair cut, to picking up the new arrival of a certain book at your favorite book store. Errands fall under this card as well. Taking one of your parents to an appointment.

You may have to go to a walk in clinic and so on. Or last minute grocery shopping because a certain person invited themselves over for supper and is bring all their kids.

If you are not certain how to read the JOURNEY card choose another clarification card. I like using 2 cards for the one card draw because these types of fortune telling cards usually leave me with questions such as who? why? when? what? where? Remember the 5 W’s

As a Spiritual card - the advice of the card is to go within for your answers. Sounds pretty easy doesn’t it. We all know the answers are within but how many of us have a clear channel without all the ego-garbage-chatter. If you do, I highly doubt you would use “cards” as your tool of the trade. You would be one of the enlightened ones and “they” do not surf on the internet ha-ha-ha.

If you were to use JOURNEY to ask the question, “what is it I need to know about myself today”, your answer is within the card. Which of the figures resonate with you. Are you the woman in the carriage, the man with the whip on the horse, one of the horses or the distant village in the background?

For example- if you chose the man with the whip, then perhaps you are BEING TOO HARD ON YOURSELF- your own task master, whipping yourself with guilt or some other negative emotion.

Another example- if you relate to the village in the background, then your message is that you are DISTANCING or REMOTELY connected to aspects of yourself. Basically, you need to get connected to circumstances around you.

OR you need to pull back while your emotions are in chaos. When you recognize this you are tapping into your higher level.

Depends which way you want to read the JOURNEY card- you predetermine that prior to selecting the card.

10 Judge + 13 Marriage.

These two Ziguener Wahrsagenkarten combined indicate a break up, leading to divorce.The Judge card #10 is a professional person-not necessarily a judge of court. Can be a policeman if the Enemy card is close by. The judge announces official matters.

28 Journey + 34 House

These two in combination suggest a change of residence.#34 is the house depicted where you live, an apartment, a house, a cottage, a condo, trailer etc. Similar in meaning to the Lenormand’s house card King of Cups. The house card can indicate a retreat.

20 Man of Cloth + 10 Judge

Whenever these two cards come together, it will indicate someone in the medical profession such as a doctor, surgeon and dentist.#20 is typically a priest as the image shows. It can represent spiritual matters as well, guardian angel. Priest protects. A card of organized, unchallenged beliefs.

The journey card

The Zigeuner-Wahrsagekarten (gipsy true legend maps) journey card has much detail within the image. (Ciganske karte)

Looking at the deck one as a feeling of speed (dust clouds of the wheels) – the driver isn’t really paying attention to the road. The lady in the carriage seems to be alarmed. It looks like the 2 horses have blinders on -
There is town in the background, however there are no roads leading to the town from where the horse-driven carriage is or so it seems. They are heading in another direction. What’s the hurry?Whenever this card comes up in a reading and it always comes up if you do the map of 36 cards. Pay attention to the card before, above, beneath and after it. There will be a “hint” as to the reason of this “quick delivery”.

When this card is beside the “Lover” or “Sweetheart” card – there could be distance involved, away on a trip, or a plan to travel.
