Zigeuner Wahrsagekarten Misfortune

The image of the Ziguener Misfortune card depicts a lady and babe in distress. Two firemen are approaching what appears to be a burning and smoke-filled building. There are 2 things you can see in this image. The victims and the helpers.

When reading Misfortune in a layout you will need to determine if the situation can be saved in some way. Is there a person who is in dire need of help?  I do see this card as a warning of a pending disastrous situation but within this card there is also an available solution.

Unforeseen events occur all the time. Life is a tapestry of events. The lady and babe are in an open doorway which at first glance looks only like a window. She is not far from the 2 firemen and will narrowly escape potential danger.

The Misfortune card can mean some “bad luck” as Eastern Europeans would tell you. But most of us know that everything is based on how we react or approach a situation. It is difficult to stay calm when such catastrophes happen in our lives. Some people are laid back and some people adopt a jumping bean personality.

When Misfortune is coupled with the Journey card it is wise to take extra precaution when travelling. Avoid travelling to unsafe areas. Double check your vehicle to make sure everyone is working properly. And whatever you do don’t drive while being intoxicated or under the influence of other substances. If you do see Misfortune and Journey together in your near future don’t be alarmed but be forewarned that there could be a situation which could delay your plans.

When Misfortune is next to Fortune it appears to be a contradiction in influence. It isn’t. You may acquire some abundance but someone will pay a “price” for it. My parents both died within 4 months of each other and within that same year I became a grandmother to Connor and the following year to Katja.

There is a saying, “someone’s loss is another’s gain” and I think this saying wraps it up in a nutshell for the Misfortune & Fortune combination. Maybe you have a different perception … which is different. There are no wrong ways to interpret Gypsy cards. Ask any gypsy if you dare, lol.

Gipsy Lover

The Zigeuner Wahrsagekarten Lover card is quite interesting to interpret.  If you look closely at the jacket this man is wearing you will see a difference from one side to the other. Glove on one hand none on the other.

A Man? A Lover?

When the Lover falls in a future spot in the layout and you are a female receiving a card reading he could be a potential love interest. If you are in a situation whereby you are experiencing a famine in your love department he’s just the guy to spice things up.  :)

Always check to see what cards are near him. Be aware if Jealousy is nearby because he could have a deranged girlfriend you don’t know about. Most of the time he represents your significant other, someone you are in a relationship with at the present time.

It’s not hard to find out what is on the Lover’s mind or what situation is around him because he will always be in your layout when you do a full board layout using the 36 cards. When doing a shorter layout and he shows up there will be some significance to your connection. Perhaps an argument (Anger), visiting some friends (Visit), going on a trip (Journey), or finding out he is cheating on you (Infidelity).

Many traditional card Readers don’t believe in Reading someone’s future unless they have consent from the person. With the Lenormand cards as well as the Zigeuner (and several other Sibille style decks) how can we not see what the other people are doing if they are in our layout, lol.

At the same token you can discover what is really bothering you as well by meditating on the cards surrounding the Sweetheart (female getting the Reading). The cards which come between you and the Lover card are very important. Are they low energy or positive? Do you foresee a problem in the near future or will you skip down the yellow brick road for the next few months?

I think it can be quite helpful to study the cards around the Lover in the event there is a cooling period in your relationship. Maybe it has nothing to do with you. There might be other situations weighing down your Lover-Man. It’s not always another woman….could be a man.

We woman have a very direct image within the Sweetheart. There is no indication of the many different roles we play in men’s lives. The Lover card will be the plain ol’ guy you sit on the couch with on a Saturday night or the guy with the 6 pack chest twirling you around on the dance floor.    Luv this card!

Did I mention if you are a male the Lover will represent you in a layout? You can do the same thing and look for the Sweetheart to gain more information about your special lady or potential future lover……

The dog is known as “wo/man’s best friend.  If you have a dog as a pet you will understand the loyalty represented by this card.

All the images shown depict feelings of trust. The saying, “through thick and thin” comes to mind.

I always look forward to seeing these cards in a layout surrounded by other more promising cards.  When cards of a negative connotation are nearby there is a strong suggestion a friendship or situation has soured to some degree. Often we can discover problems around a friend which could help explain why they are acting out of character.

Study the block of cards around Fidelity or the Dog to gain more knowledge of the person or situation.

The Fidelity and Dog cards give such a profound feeling of faithfulness. The true essence of devotion is sacred. 

Meditate on these cards to understand loyalty. Perhaps you are experiencing a tinge of misplaced trust. Ask yourself if you are having thoughts of mistrust about another individual. Most of you will know that we attract individuals or situations into our lives which reflect aspects of our own thoughts energy. Maybe you need to restore your own faith in yourself.

Column 1:  Past – Cards 1,5,8.  WIDOW LOSS MERRIMENT

-describes the recent past-the last few days or the recent circumstance around your question.  These cards can reveal your subconscious QUESTION.

The Widow releases her Energy creating the activated Loss (Trigger) card. Merriment is the resulting energy. The Widow (let’s suppose we use the grieving process as the meaning) creates a feeling of some regrets. After we experience the meanings of the Loss card the resulting Energy is contained in the Merriment card putting us in a more playful mood. We all feel better after a good cry or acceptance that yes we did lose something or miscalculated a situation.

Column 2:  Now-Cards 2, YOU, 9. OFFICER SWEETHEART LOVER

YOU can be any card

The YOU position does not have to be the Sweetheart or Lover card. In answer to one of the question in the comments section when no YOU card has been pre-selected just shuffle the deck/cut and lay cards starting at #1 position (see diagram) continue laying the cards.  The card which falls in the YOU spot is significant.

-describes the now-what is going on with you -YOUR THOUGHTS and FEELINGS.

The Officer releases his Energy creating the activated Sweetheart (Trigger) card. Lover is the resulting energy. The Officer (let’s suppose we use the official process as the meaning) creates the preoccupied thoughts of the female. After we acknowledge these thoughts (if you are the female of the Reading) the resulting Energy is contained in the Lover card revealing a special male is involved. This applies to any card you choose to be YOU where a specific question is asked.

Column 3:  Immediate- Cards 3,6,10. WIDOWER DESIRE LETTER

-describes the immediate future, a day or so. These cards will tell you what INFLUENCES to anticipate. [you can change the time frame prior to the shuffle, for example you can designate this spot to mean within 1 week. I chose 2 weeks.]

The Widower releases his Energy creating the activated Desire (Trigger) card. Letter is the resulting energy. The Widower (let’s suppose we use the grieving process as the meaning) creates a feeling of yearning. After we experience the meanings of the Desire card the resulting Energy is contained in the Letter card putting him in a situation whereby he receives news (which ties in with the Officer). The Sweetheart is concerned about the Lover male & a situation around him.

Column 4:  Soon- Cards 4,7,11. FORTUNE INFIDELITY MISFORTUNE

-describes soon, less than a week. These cards give you an ANSWER to your question. [you can change this spot to mean within 3 months  but it is important to keep that in mind before selecting the cards for the layout. I chose a 1 month time frame]

Fortune releases her Energy creating the activated Infidelity (Trigger) card. Misfortune is the resulting energy. Fortune  (let’s suppose we use the hopeful gain  process as the meaning) creates a feeling of betrayal. After we experience the meanings of the Infidelity card the resulting Energy is contained in the Misfortune card revealing a negative Answer.

Infidelity is the Trigger card.  The answer is a definite no because of a situation where the Lover (significant male of Sweetheart) has been lead on to believe that he will experience the benefits of the  most positive card Fortune.

The Trigger Layout will be explained further in the Learning Zigeuner Wahrsagekarten (Gipsy cards) handbook which is nearing completion. If all goes well I should have a limited printing by the end of May as well.

Zigeuner Wahrsagekarten – 12 card Trigger Layout

Dear Friends: Thank you for all your kind well wishes for my granddaughter Katja. All is Good.

In todays’ post I will be using one of my favourite decks in the Trigger Layout. The Zigeuner Wahrsagekarten or Gipsy fortune-telling cards. Sometimes you just don’t want to do a full board Reading. It does get overwhelming trying to interpret all 36 cards. This is exactly why I designed this simple layout.

You have an option as far as time frames with this layout. Prior to shuffling decide what time frame you want to use in Columns 3 & 4. Remove the Sweetheart (if female) or the Lover (if male) from the deck.  Lay the cards according to the image below:

I always scan the Trigger row (middle) first to get a feel of the situation. I don’t talk about this row right away. I usually start at Column 1 – Past

Note: You don’t have to use the Sweetheart or the Lover cards. You can pick any card out of the deck which you think represents your situation. Also, you can decide not to pick any card at all and that’s ok, too. The cards will tell you what it is you need to know at the time of shuffle.

TRIGGER row – 5, YOU, 6, 7. LOSS. SWEETHEART. DESIRE. FALSENESS

This row is the essence of the reading, the rest of the cards will describe or explain to you what surrounds the essence or core theme. When you read these cards you will get a good glimpse at the entire layout.  The remaining cards are the details surrounding the TRIGGER cards.

LOSS. SWEETHEART. DESIRE. FALSENESS.

Let’s keep the interpretations real simple. A female who in the recent past experienced some sort of shortcoming in a situation or an actual loss is yearning for things which may not be in her best interest. These 4 cards are powerful. We need to find out what lead up to them and what followed them. That’s just one way to Read these cards.

Gipsy Wahrsagekarten. Enemy & Ecclesiastic

7. ENEMY

ENEMY

Negative thinking. Potentially harmful situation. Nasty person. A medical procedure involving “cutting”. Be alert. Pay attention.

The image of the Enemy card says it all, however, as with the Tarot cards it could represent your own frame of mind.  Are you hiding something? Are you not being totally honest with someone else or even yourself. In a situation question, you could be a victim of some negative undercurrents but it’s important to ask yourself if your own intentions are honourable.

6. ECCLESIASTIC

ECCLESIASTIC

Anyone involved in an organized belief system. Faith. A church type environment. Philosophy. Spirituality.

The image of the Ecclesiastic card give the impression of safety and some form of devotion. Are you holding on to a person or situation because it’s the right thing to do. There are choices. Just because everyone else is settling you don’t have to.  In a situation question, the outcome will most likely be obvious, no real surprises.

IN DUO COMBINATION

These two cards falling together (ENEMY, ECCLESIASTIC) in a Reading suggests a situation that appears unfavourable or risky will turn out to be more of a plateau outcome.  For example, if you accept a job position because you feel the need for change then you will experience little opportunity for quick advancement. 

These two cards falling together (ECCLESIASTIC, ENEMY) in a Reading indicates what appears right is not always truth. For example, if you are planning to enter a marital arrangement you could be in for a rude awakening. You or your partner are not being honest about the whole thing.

Interpreting Zigeuner Wahrsagekarten cards

The Enemy As a Situation card:

ENEMY

The ENEMY cards suggests a situation is around you which appears to be not in your best interest.  It could be someone who is not what they seem.  More than likely these circumstances have a way of lingering on around us even though we don’t realize it.  Often emotional strings still remain even if the person or situation has left our immediate lifestyle.

Death as a Recent Past card:

DEATH

The DEATH card is either welcomed or feared.  Since it falls in the spot of recent past this means the energy is departing out of your life. Something (job) or someone (relationship) no longer serves a good purpose in your life and it is just as well it will be part of the recent past.  The death card suggests the elimination of things which no longer are productive or fruitful like a dead end job or dead beat relationship.

Widow as the To Come in the Near Future card:

Even though the WIDOW card doesn’t give the impression it is a joyous immediate future it means you could feel down only for a short time. It also suggests making new connections which as an outsider initially are challenging to do.  As the pending energy card the widow suggests you will be just fine and shouldn’t push anything.

The best advice would be to allow the natural flow of situations.  Whatever the cycle is it will develop into a new one within a few months (always keep the final card in mind when giving such advice).

Journey as the Result or Outcome card:

JOURNEY

What’s the outcome?  You will embark on a trip. The  JOURNEY card does indicate actual travel (trip or change in location) away from that something or someone which is slowly passing out of your life. You will leave behind what has ended or ceased to exist in a way to give you happiness.  If you move (home or job) you will have new beginning but will more than likely have to sever some other ties of past familiarity.

People and situations are in our lifestyle but when change comes knocking on the door (as is represented by the death card) we usually say good bye to aspects of certain connections. Often parts of our personality die and are reborn much stronger.

simple INTERPRETATION

10 Judge + 13 Marriage - a visit to a professional or legal representative because of matrimony. The Judge in this case is sought after to offer services to assist in matters such as a divorce or legal separation.

13 Marriage+10 Judge - in this case the Judge could still be a lawyer but his services are needed to assist in marriage or a prenuptial agreement.

simple INTERPRETATION

8 Journey + 34 House – there would be plans to  travel to someone else’s home. Often a change of residence is implied with this combo.

34 House+28 Journey – someone from the home environment is planning to go on a trip.  Often the relocation has already occurred.

simple INTERPRETATION

20 Priest + 10 Judge - when these two cards fall together the suggestion is an event like marriage, funeral service or even a meeting with school officials. As a person it can be a doctor, funeral director.

10 Judge+20 Priest - the meaning is pretty much the same when there are 2 people cards combined. The card that follows or precedes these two would be an action card like a verb in a sentence.

I found a little difficult to understand the flow of action with these cards which seems different as Lenormard cards.

——–>So much depends on cards which are before and after the duo you are asking about.  The Lenormand cards do have a little different flow when interpreting them but actually are quite similar. “Each card is simply either a noun, verb, adverb or adjective just like in a sentence.” If you keep this in mind you can Read any cards from any deck.

These 2 Zigeuner Wahrsagekarten cards are similar in meaning. Obviously the Widower represents a male and the Widow a female.  How would you read these cards if they are side by side in a layout?  There are a variety of combinations.

Actually they can suggest a couple. Both people may have lost partners either through divorce or death and they have joined for companionship in their latter years.  The couple can be younger as well with a similar history.

In the images the people are facing each other which means there is an amicable connection if we just study these 2 cards as if they were a 2 card draw.  A situation could have brought these two people together which was a tragedy or unpleasant experience.

They may actually be both attending the same funeral and are saddened by the loss of a friend/ loved one.

Let’s suppose you were thinking of love or romance when you drew these cards.  The suggestion is that you and the person you are thinking about have been estranged and neither of you is very happy about it.  There is hope that you will speak to each other again. You have a common interest which will bring you back together.

If you were thinking about a change of job these two cards would indicate a slow process. The timing could be off and maybe your reasons for wanting this change is rooted in a personal unhappiness rather than with the job.  These two cards can suggest being interviewed by a man and woman who have no sense of humour.  It’s strictly business with no room for expressing any human emotion.

The Widower and Widow are loyal people.  They are both a lot stronger than they appear.

Card of Day. Zigeuner Message.

Zigeuner Wahrsagekarten MESSAGE

This card is fairly straight forward to interpret.  It covers a variety of communications like the telephone, cells, emails, ichats and face to face conversations.  I drew MESSAGE yesterday morning but wanted to wait to do a follow-up post until the day was actually over.

The MESSAGE card can also suggest meeting new people and conversing with them.  You know the type of chitchat that goes on at party situations.  I did go to a house birthday party last night and met many new people.  Half way through the evening  I pulled out my miniature Tarot deck which is older than my oldest child and casually started shuffling them.

Well didn’t the Tarot cards capture people’s attentions. There was line up of ladies wanting to get a reading.  I stated the readings were just for fun and I would answer specific questions.  Of course, the majority of the ladies only knew me as Jozefa. The MESSAGE card fit into the night’s activities as information definitely was being exchanged & the Tarot cards were part of the messages given.

It seems the party energy changed afterwards because the ladies who I read for snapped out of their defensive modes.  Apparently some of their issues weighed heavily on them & I know they felt better after the readings.

The other point is that I do not know why people get intimidated by someone who is psychic or reads cards.

After all we are human, too.

Card of the Day. Zigeuner Sadness. Follow up

It rained all day.  I didn’t mind feeling the splatter of the raindrops as I darted to and from the vehicle while visiting my favourite bookstore.  My energy level was lower than usual but that is due to the restless night I experienced.  I just couldn’t get completely comfortable to have a good night’s sleep.  As a result I was tired and felt like the woman in the image of the SADNESS card.  I wouldn’t say I was sad but I was not happy either.

One minor event happened to a friend who told me he lost his wallet.  He was saddened by this because it is so much work to replace all the plastic carried in wallets these days. There was a larger amount of money involved as well.  When my friend relayed the message to me I felt the wallet was not lost but merely misplaced.

I did hear some sad news from a mother whose son was in the same hospital as my father.  Her 24 year old son developed severe pneumonia and was not going to survive long. The doctors were keeping him comfortable as in administering strong pain meds to alleviate the discomfort he was feeling. She was told he would not recover.  My heart went out to her and now that I think about it, yes, I was sad about what she was about to face.

Card of the Day. Zigeuner Wahrsagekarten. Sadness

I am selecting the Card of the Day for tomorrow.  I am aware of certain events planned for the day which don’t involve me directly. One of them is a funeral for a young man who died in a car accident.  No doubt the people who I do know who are attending will be feeling the emotion of sadness.

Sadness/Zalost

SADNESS can could color the general tone of the day.  Everyone has days in which they experience lower energy.  When you focus on situations which are not completely positive they can drain you and the blues set in temporarily.  As long as this feeling is brief there is no problem.

This is a card suggesting the lack of emotional balance.  A situation can come up where plans do not materialize due to external influences such as the needs of other people.  Happiness is a state of mind and so is SADNESS.

In the image the lady is hiding her body in a full flowing dress.  Is she ashamed of something she did?  Is she concealing the truth about a person or situation?  Every once in a while when you get to that quiet place in your mind you come to the realization that you are only deceiving yourself by believing everything is ok in your life.

Often this card strongly suggests you will be disappointed at the outcome of some plans. Whatever it is that you were really looking forward to may have to be postponed.  You may have to cheer yourself up because everyone else around you is experiencing an “off day”.

The SADNESS card depicts a partly blue sky which holds promise of improved weather involving the emotions.
