A question for the Pages of Shustah

Tonight I got a telephone call from a client who is worried about the status of her employment. She  is concerned due to her  marginal sales during the present time.  The majority of her job consists of selling communication services.

I asked the Pages of Shustah© cards a question on behalf of my client.  She wants to know if her sales will pick up over the next 6 weeks.  I find this deck is usually very good in zeroing in on the energies surrounding the question which leads to a probable outcome.

I was pleased to see the 3rd card in the trio I selected because there is a promise of things getting better.

Will sales increase in 6 weeks?

Will sales increase in 6 weeks?

Card #1 – Red Door.  As a basis card revealing the nature of the question we find a negative influence or attitude.  This card clearly shows the client is thinking pessimistically and thinking the sales will not increase.  Could it be the client is blocking her own progress.  The gate is closed, however, there is space between the boards for easy removal one at a time.  A plan is necessary and it is of the utmost importance this challenge is overcome in the process before reaching the Stars card.

Card #2 – Black Aquarius.  Here we find an astrological sign depicting group or organizational situations with the promise of increase.  Aquarius is about changes as well and falling in the middle this means a shift needs to occur in attitude or approach towards selling.  New innovative ideas need to be implemented and this can be done with a little re-evaluation of techniques. Getting rid of what didn’t work in the past would be my advice to the client.

With Mercury going retrograde at the same time anything to do with communications could stagnate. On the more positive, Mercury retrograde can also mean revisiting some previous sales clients who may have said no in the past.

Card #3 – Blue Stars.  The results or outcome spanning over the 6 weeks show that focus is necessary with a clear objective to reap the benefits of this card.  Blue Stars favor business dealings.  Everything will unfold according to God’s plan which may sound kind of corny but it’s true.  When situations are in keeping with the Universal laws of abundance all is well.

So how does this help the client to know it’s in God’s plan? I think by having faith in herself she will come up with a way to increase the sales. As there are many stars in the image it means there will be several opportunities for the sales to increase.  The client must remain optimistic.

Asking the Pages of Shustah cards

I wanted to ask a question about the success of a pending business trip.  I consulted the Tarot cards and was not completely satisfied with the reading.  I was looking for a specific answer to this question and found the Tarot didn’t sit right with me.

When this happens it is a good idea to use another deck if you have one.  Certain decks are for certain questions.  Doing a full board Lenormand would have been much too many cards even for this question. There is no doubt in my mind the Lenormand deck would have given me enough information surrounding the answer.

What I was looking for was a straight answer of specific energies which are at play currently.  I was drawn to the Pages of Shustah and below are the 3 cards I selected.  Notice how they are all BLUE. (serenity, lack of monumental growth, calculated progress)

 nov22shustah1

->Blue 5. The Diamond ->Blue 3. The Fishes ->Blue 12. The Divine Horse

At first, when I saw the last card I thought it was the pale horse and I was disappointed despite the other positive cards.  When I realized it was the Divine Horse my mind was at ease.  This question is not so much as to the success of a business trip but whether or not it will be “safe” without unforeseen tragedies.

The intensity of the brilliant shine from the Diamond amplifies the meaning of the Fishes- a small wish granted.  These 2 cards speak of minor successes but really good ones.

I feel the Divine horse has answered my real question of safety and I see this card as a spiritual guardian which protects one from harm.  I couldn’t have asked for a better card.

UPDATE NOV 29/08- The trip in question which was off the coast of Africa was successful and safe.  The Divine Horse was a true blessing. I don’t have all the details yet and I am looking forward to hearing about the rich opportunities indicated by the Diamond + Fishes cards.

4swordsIn the Tarot, the outcome card was the 4 of swords which triggered some worry in me.  In relation to the question, it pointed to a mediocre success which would come slowly.  As far as safety, it does have some protective aspects since the knight (in most decks) is adorned in armor.  Armor shields and protects.  If you notice on the image to the left of the card the stained glass window, there is the message of faith and hope within.

I see a correlation between the Divine Horse and the 4 of swords the more I meditate on the cards.  Initially, my knee jerk reaction to the sword card was apprehensive.  I think this is mainly due to past experiences with this card.  It was a good idea to select the Pages of Shustah so I could compare the energies after I went through the interpretative process.  One does not always see the symbolism when in a hurry for an answer.

Shustah speaks

Unicorn     Strange Page     Lord of Contemplation

Question:  Should female X go on the road trip she is asking about today?

Using the 3 card layout of situation, influence in progress and advice I will demonstrate possible interpretations for female X’s question.

SITUATION

Green 3- Unicorn.  The question (situation) is not confirmed yet.  There are no definite plans made at this point.  It is just an idea.  There is energy put into the thoughts of travel.  This card does not clearly depict a road trip but it does suggest movement towards a destination.

INFLUENCE in PROGRESS

Yellow 11 – Strange page.  This spot talks about the planning stage of any question asked.  Is the influence of the second card conducive to receiving some advice that will help in the decision making process?   Since this card is yellow it promises a relatively good influence.  I have seen the Strange page to mean a sudden change in plans.  Manser states the Egoic response is “Unexpected company”.  This can mean that female X will have someone else going with her on the road trip that she did not anticipate.

In this example, the answer lies in the last card mainly because this is what was established before the laying of the cards.  The Pages of Shustah© will advice female X whether she should go on this road trip.

ADVICE

Green 14 – Lord of Contemplation.  Here we have a card of indecision.  The answer is not evident.  The Lord is advising female X to  think about whether she really wants to go on this road trip and what she hopes to gain.

The feeling I get from this last card is that there is an uncertainty in the general idea of travel today.  When this conclusion is merged with the first card, the Unicorn it clearly points to a spur of the moment desire.

The colors are favorable for the trip to manifest.  The advice card is suggesting that female X look at her resources as well.  Can she afford the road trip?  The cards do not depict financial loss, however, things could get out of hand due to the “unexpected” nature of the Strange page.  Overall, the road trip would be successful.

Trio Shustah(c) reading

Page of Shustah© Cards

What a lovely bunch of cards to get when asking the question about financial improvements. I often get telephone calls from people who aren’t ready for a full reading because they just want to ask one or two quick questions. I don’t mind doing this on occasion but if it becomes too regular then I suggest that they make an appointment to have a session with me.

GOLDEN HORSE, SPINNING TOP, BIG WISH.

Yellow cards are all about gain, creativity and spiritual energy. Blue cards have constructive energy which usually has a definite result one way or another. It depends which one it is  because there can be stagnation in this so called constructive energy as well.

The 3 spots have specific rather traditional meanings according to Ann Manser & Cecil North’s accompanying book. I find this layout quite similar to the Symbolon deck layout. From my experience the cards do not always stay true to the spots they fall in. Many times I have seen card #1 or #2 as the outcome. I’m not certain why this happens but it does.

#1 – the basis of the question

12. Golden Horse depicts intuition. One of it’s other meanings is victory. The horse that wins the cup in the race. One thing to remember is that the “cup” is most likely the question asked. All indicators are that there will be success and the color scheme is excellent. Progress is indicated but one must factor in the intuitive aspect. Here the “gut feelings” play a role as well.

#2 – the situation in question

9. Spinning Top is filled with surprises and usually they are pleasing. If the card following is it red then you know the surprise is not pleasant and there could be additional struggles coming your way. This card can be interpreted in two ways. The surprise will either startle you because it is too good to be true or it can go the other way too. Often we get stunned when really good things happen to us as well. It’s like saying, “I can’t believe this happened, it’s a miracle”.  Or “I can’t believe he/she died”.

#3 The result of the question

9. Big Wish is a blessing. The person will get the financial improvement that was asked about most likely in an unexpected way, but through positive circumstances.    This card is a BIG YES.

And so we have one happy camper receiving advice that came from the Pages of Shustah© oracle.

Shustah reading

I wanted to post this very, very interesting 3 card Pages of Shustah© reading that I did this morning. It seems to me many people have their jobs on their mind or are wanting a change.

Veronica is still waiting for an answer. And I think the clarification card, RED -Little Foxes was most likely the key to that entire trio. “The real question is whether or not Veronica is really in a position whereby she would be considered for this employment opportunity despite her previous experience. I also get the feeling that this situation has “a curve ball” which I suspect is fast approaching perhaps within the week. For the most part the cards’ energies are good”. With that situation there is still a lot of red tape.

I got a call from a Sandie asking if she will land the job that she was being interviewed for before lunch time. She said it felt like the interviewing process went well.

I asked the cards on her behalf and studied them for quite some time. I had no RED cards which was a good sign, that would have been a red flag right off the bat.

I meditated prior to drawing each of the 3 cards, focusing on her question, “will I get the job?”. The colors were good.

GREEN- journey. BLACK – Gemini. BLUE- Child and the Puppy

My analysis of these cards shows much indecision which is confirmed by #3 Gemini. The Child and the Puppy gave me a feeling that she might have bitten off more than she could chew. In other words, maybe she did not have enough experience to land this job. #8 journey pointed to some travel or least progress which would have been the travel to another city for a second interview.

As it turned out, she did not get the position which we found out close to supper time. She was to get a telephone call at 4:30 with the answer if a second interview was in order. I suggested she call them, so that she did not worry or fantasize about this “dream” job over the weekend.

Sandie was very disappointed. The reason she did not get the job was because the “boots” the little girl is wearing she could not fill. Those “boots” symbolized the education degree that was mandatory for that job. Despite all the good references she had & exceptional experience, the interviewer’s hands were tied. He had to follow company policy.

Phooey, Phooey, on them, they broke the little girls heart and yes I bet she went home and cuddled her dog. :)

I went ahead and asked the Tarot cards and the probable outcome was 9 of Swords and the outcome was 9 of Cups. Basically, complete opposites. I was almost certain her wishes would come true regarding this job opportunity. I told Sandie not to give up because the materialization of the “wish card” will still happen but at a later time. Right now she is experiencing the 9 of Swords. The other cards in the Celtic cross supported the 9 of Cups, more so than the 9 of Swords…..and that is a topic for a whole other post.
