hello M.Seaqueen,
I would like to know if the meaning for Judge card is the same in combinations with these cards if the position is different?
10 Judge + 13 Marriage= 13 Marriage+10 Judge ?simple INTERPRETATION
10 Judge + 13 Marriage - a visit to a professional or legal representative because of matrimony. The Judge in this case is sought after to offer services to assist in matters such as a divorce or legal separation.
13 Marriage+10 Judge - in this case the Judge could still be a lawyer but his services are needed to assist in marriage or a prenuptial agreement.
…..
28 Journey + 34 House= 34 House+28 Journey ?
simple INTERPRETATION
8 Journey + 34 House – there would be plans to travel to someone else’s home. Often a change of residence is implied with this combo.
34 House+28 Journey – someone from the home environment is planning to go on a trip. Often the relocation has already occurred.
……
20 Priest + 10 Judge= 10 Judge+20 Priest ?
simple INTERPRETATION
20 Priest + 10 Judge - when these two cards fall together the suggestion is an event like marriage, funeral service or even a meeting with school officials. As a person it can be a doctor, funeral director.
10 Judge+20 Priest - the meaning is pretty much the same when there are 2 people cards combined. The card that follows or precedes these two would be an action card like a verb in a sentence.
…….
I found a little difficult to understand the flow of action with these cards which seems different as Lenormard cards.
——–>So much depends on cards which are before and after the duo you are asking about. The Lenormand cards do have a little different flow when interpreting them but actually are quite similar. “Each card is simply either a noun, verb, adverb or adjective just like in a sentence.” If you keep this in mind you can Read any cards from any deck.
Thank you for you time to answer my question
I hope my simple explanation sheds some light on your question.
best regards,
Kali

Question from Tina
A question from the comments section. My suggested interpretation is beneath Tina’s quote.
dear Madame Seaqueen,
I would need your help to understand this card. All the time I have trouble with The Clouds card.I use French deck, the lighter side is on the left, the darker side on the right.
I did 5 cards spread for a friend and this card was the last one.KEY+ Bouquet+ Letter+ Fish+ Clouds
the question was : “Will I get married with X.?”
it bothers me the last card because I really don’t know if I should interpret in a positive way according the direction of the brighter side of the card.If I would follow this rule than I would say this girl will get married with X.All problems will dissipate and she will get her desire especially that The Key card appears in the spread but also it mirrors the Clouds card.
Can you help me with this?
thank you
Your analysis of these 5 cards is very insightful. The suggested meanings for all 36 Lenormand cards can be found at the following —->LINK.
33. KEY – Opens and closes the doors to knowledge about people and situations. Mostly a positive influence in that it will lead to some sort of resolution. Coupled with the SCYTHE card –leads to a dead end. With the COFFIN card points to new directions in solutions.
9. BOUQUET – A gift or token of appreciation. Fond feeling towards you. Generally a favorable outcome regarding a situation. As a person, (Queen of Spades) suggests a more mature female who generally is without a partner. Don’t worry be happy – the outcome is usually good.
27. LETTER – Covers a vast amount of areas –the written word. Easy enough to figure out by looking at the nearby cards. News, announcements, memos etc. Coupled with the BIRDS card juicy gossip. With the PARK card an invitation to a gathering or party. Near the CROSS card- disturbing news. When the SCYTHE & COFFIN cards are involved – obituary.
34. FISH – The money card. As a person, (King of Diamonds) can suggest someone that is connected to the financial filed. Connected to matters that are fluid. Coupled with the PARK card- a nightclub or bar. With the CHILD card – a growing bank account, money spent on things pertaining to children. Near the SCYTHE card can indicate coming into some loot quite unexpectedly.
6. CLOUDS = As a male (King of Clubs) he would be someone that is pessimistic. In a situation the suggestion is to brace yourself for some rock n roll of your emotions. Hectic. Disappointments. A cooling off period.
****
I think X is and will be concerned about the overall financial (fish)situation. There are fond (bouquet) feelings for the lady in question. The key card offers hope as you stated. The dark side of the clouds card in the French Cartomancy deck does point to the right at the end of the spread which leads me to think the issue is not directed to marriage. The message of the cloud card is a minor alert however there are no strong negative cards in the layout that point to a definite no. More time is needed in the unfoldment of this relationship. As far as a definite yes answer regarding marriage I don’t see it addressed until X sorts out his finances.
Open discussions (letter) are important about intent to marry. Does X know the female is thinking of marriage or is that her wish? Sometimes females think one thing and males are not on the same wavelength. Honest communication about marriage is recommended.
Simple Trigger Layout -question from Lilith
Comment & Question from Lilith
Dear Josefa,
I can say that I’ve learned a lot from you and the trigger layout. A great spread that I use most often. Thank you for all the info you are giving out.
I have been using the Lenormand for sometime now and wish to share a spread with you hoping for some help. It gets me a bit confused.
General reading no question asked.
Cards fell as follows :
Snake+Heart+Ring+Lillies
Scythe+Lady+Gent+Moon
Ship+Stars+Tree+StorksEven I wasn’t asking a question I am a bit preoccupied with the thought of a man that I had a relationship with long time ago.
For me this spread says that there is a good possibility that we end up together again but what confuses me is the Snake and the Storks cards. He lives with another woman at the moment ( that fits the description of the Stork) and I wonder if that commitment (Ring) is with me or foretells that they will end up married.
Since the Ring falls above the Gent and after the Snake card (which is pointing to another woman), but the Gent is falling right after me I keep getting confused. I really need your help to determine who this commitment refers to.
I suppose that the Stork here means a return of a former partner or at least changes regarding that person or me.
Dear Lilith:
Thank you for you comments and questions. Glad you enjoy using the Trigger Layout. You have brought up some really good questions/observations and I would like to give you some feedback which I hope sheds a different perspective on the cards in this layout. My interpretation is for learning purposes & I encourage the readers of this post to submit their comments in relation to the cards you selected.
Position 5 Trigger – PAST COLUMN
– after experiencing the root or foundational influences of the position 1, you are faced with the aura of the experience in the Trigger position card.
Here you will find a person or situation. This card is behind the YOU person meaning it is a significant circumstance. One must analyze position 8 to find out the resulting reactions.
The Trigger Card in the past column is the SCYTHE card. In the past you experienced or were exposed to the influence of the SNAKE card. Traditionally, this card suggests another woman. The situation indicates a severing which has begun despite the fact this GENTLEMAN is living with the woman you mentioned fitting the description of the STORK. The resulting influence of these two cards is represented by the SHIP card which suggests progress or movement in a specific direction.
Position YOU Trigger -NOW COLUMN
-this card is a little different in that it represents the person getting the reading, an absent representation for another individual or for the more advanced students of this system -a situation.
The reading will begin HERE. Actually the Trigger row is read, PAST, YOU, IMMEDIATE and SOON. I know this sounds confusing but it is not, it is common sense. You need to know who YOU is to be to interpret the cards properly.
I started with the Past column since we know the YOU card is you.
Above the LADY is the HEART card which suggests a love situation is very much on your mind. This card also shows that you are a very loving person with strong emotions. Beneath LADY lies the STARS card suggesting an experience of success. A very positive vibration with the STARS card.
Position 6 Trigger – IMMEDIATE COLUMN
-here the YOU person is stepping into a scenario or circumstance within a few days or weeks (depending on the TIME you assign prior to shuffling).
The GENTLEMAN card follows LADY in the Trigger Row. This mean you will see or talk to this man shortly after the reading was done. He is thinking of a situation involving commitment (RING). Note: HEART, LADY, RING, GENTLEMAN is a tight box with no negative cards in between. This man is also somewhat attached to a situation which was already rooted (TREE) but will change based on the cards in the last column.
Position 7 Trigger- SOON COLUMN
- if the Trigger card is negative, what was thought to be a negative result (of the TRIGGER ROW cards) will turn out good if the last card is positive. The reverse is true as well.
The final TRIGGER position in the SOON COLUMN is a culmination of the cards in the TRIGGER ROW.
When you scan PAST, YOU, IMMEDIATE and SOON Trigger cards it holds the answer in a nutshell. If no question was asked, the cards revealed in this row will describe a situation you need to address whether you want to or not.
The final card in the Trigger row is the MOON. This card suggests there is a strong female influence in the GENTLEMAN’s life which does not necessarily have to be the woman he is living with. It could be a sister, mother, daughter or another female family member. So how is the MOON’s influence the result/outcome in all of this? I want to read this card to mean anxiety or confused feelings because of memories of the past. (STORK beneath)
LILY points to solid family bonds, however, the STORK card is the last card in the layout which strongly suggests change as you mentioned. The male in question does have a desire to escape (GENTLEMAN+MOON). Generally speaking the STORK brings the changes of the card above or behind it. The STORK’s influence will uproot (TREE) the feelings (MOON) of certain past situations. The GENTLEMAN will be re-assessing his feelings.
There is no indication of marriage within the time frame of this reading (1-3 months?).
Just a thought -I think someone from your past will re-enter your life who perhaps left abruptly (Jack of Diamonds, SHIP) and who you may have had a romantic connection. (Jack of Diamonds+HEART).

I want to share with everyone a recent comment regarding a Tarot Celtic Cross reading interpretation I did. Wulfie’s insights are truly helpful.

Comment:
I think you did a good reading. It’s hard to give totally accurate readings because so many things aren’t cut in stone. I took the reading in a whole different way. It starts out showing the two pentacles, making it clear the issue surrounds material concerns. The King and Queen sort of oppose each other, to me, in this case because the King has it together, the Queen does too but in a different way. The Queen’s about enjoying the fruits of her labor in creative ways. The King’s more about controlling what he’s earned. The 9 cups falls in the roots of the question, the driving force behind the question…which to me translate to the wish card being her WISH that she’ll get the job and that the interview went well. The next card is the 3 of cups, so we’ve moved from the material realm of pentacles into the arena of emotional cups. This card’s celebrating the wish card…kinda like counting your chickens before they’ve hatched, if you follow me? Now we get our first major arcana in
the form of the Emperor, this can sometimes be an alterative outcome card to the one in position 10. But the emperor is like the King of pentacle snd the King of swords…which are all control cards, and probably a male figure in the querents life, if not her more logical mind. Whoever it is and whether it’s an aspect of herself (like doubt or a bossy boy friend/husband, father/etc) it’s about control, logic, reason. The next card is another cup, the knight of cups so we’re back in the realm of emotions. But in this deck (Is it Robin Wood?) he’s facing AWAY from the central issue. To me that indicates he’s not supporting the materialism of the pentacles. Instead, he’s looking toward the emotions driving the need for materialims.
The next position is a sword card, we’ve entered the realm of thought. The energy here is of moving away from one thing to another unknown shore. To me this is the querents desire to move away from something and toward this new job and what she imagines it can provide her. Next we go to more cups, a happy card, often a family card of ease and pleasure, something all of us want and long for. So in some way she sees the new job as a way of securing this happy picture for herself and those closest to her. In the next position of hopes and fears, we run into another mental/thought sword in the grumpy knight. He’s pretty steadfast and unmoving, a sort of block to the desired outcome. This could be a male figure on the interview team or some male that gave a bad reference, whatever. But it’s a big block. Then in the final outcome position we get our second major arcana, Strength, which suggests that in order to get the job she’d needs to push for it, to show her strengths and ability to
balance herself among the emotional cards (which are her own emotions) and the interfering cards (which could be her own mind’s doubts but are more likely the doubts of others, say the interviewers)
To me the reading says she’s got a good chance of getting the job but that she misread the signals of it having been a good interview because she wants the job so badly in order to change her life circumstances. There’s also a suggestion that her emotions and blocking her from clear thinking and that the job isn’t really what she wants anyways. What she’d really love is something to do with creativity, not control.
Was the job related to a position of power where she’d be giving out orders? If so, it’s likely she’d rather have had a lower job and be the one putting projects together, creatively.
But that’s just my take on the cards. I’m sure there’s a million other ways to look at it too…especially AFTER the Fact.
Wulfie: THANK YOU for your interpretation
Question from the Comments Section
Made in Melbourne Australia by Dynamo House. The Nostradamus Oracle, 36 magic picture cards. What a cute kit. There is a large fold out instructions sheet that is printed on thick card stock – oh so convenient.
The great thing about the deck is it’s size. At first I was surprised at how small it was, but when you lay out all the 36 cards for the reading, it does not take up so much space as the Svetlana Touchkoff’s Russian Gypsy Fortune Telling cards (which I got for my birthday in the 1990’s). Touchkoff’s layout is identical to the Nostradumus layout, as are most of these types of 4 part image per cards are.
It will be interesting to see what the Nostradumus oracle predicts.

Questions from Ask my Layouts comments
As you may know I am authoring another blog over at Ask my Layouts which teaches how to read various cards in a variety of positions in a number of simple layouts I created.
I had a good question from the comments section which I promised to answer by way of this post. I do eventually answer all comments so if you don’t hear from me please keep checking back. Sometimes I use a comments to illustrate the cards in a certain layout but time does not permit me to this on any consistent basis.
HERE is the Comment. My answers are in pink font.
Hi Madam Seaqueen,
———————,————————-,———————–.
1. most times I get to read the spread about the current situation (the present)and not as an answer to my question!
Often the cards will answer the questions which your subconscious directs. It may not answer the question you consciously ask. When this happens it’s a good idea to think about what the cards are saying to see if it does somehow fit into the question you are asking. If not, then use a different spread using less cards to get a more direct answer. Design your own 3 or 4 card layout. Assign names to the positions in direct relationship to your question. Make one position as the answer spot. If that doesn’t work then your question should be left for another day to ask. Can’t push the Oracles.
2. when I use the trigger layout I get the answers through reading the columns horizontally and not vertically!!
I think reading the cards horizontally and not vertically might be your method. The Trigger Layout is designed to be read both ways. The top horizontal line is the past of each of column of cards. The middle (Trigger Row) is read horizontally anyways. It is the core of the entire reading. The bottom horizontal is the result of the two cards preceding in the vertical columns. Sometimes layouts are a mere guidance to find what works for you. If you have better luck reading horizontally then continue to do so but do try to study how the vertical columns blend with each other. This takes lots of practice to master.
3. some cards meanings are still vague for me in combination with other cards e.g. the Birds, the Cross, the Scythe, the Whip.
I get confused when I have those cards in a combined reading. Maybe you can elaborate a bit more about them.
BIRDS:
-this card does present a challenge to read. Often it implies ’2′ of something and nothing more. It can represent 2 older people usually women. It does indicate nervousness and being on edge about something. Coupled with other cards one of these meanings apply or a meaning which happens to come to your mind as you study it. Use your gut feelings to guide you and it’s important not to force a meaning in combination.
CROSS:
-this card is a finalization or completion. The end of the road. It has traditional associations with a heavy emotional burden which can be created by others or a situation. Look to the cards near it and you can determine what is being tested. Is it your faith about something?
SCYTHE:
-simple as cutting out, cutting off, severing or eliminating. This cards bring a situation to an end. It cleans up the excess of anything. Coupled with Mouse it will bring an end to loss. Coupled with the heart it suggest a sudden break up in a relationship which is painful. Combined with Anchor it strongly suggests the elimination of a job. Whatever the card around Scythe it will prevent further development. This is not always a bad thing. Unhealthy relationships or pressures at work will end without much warning are usually a blessing. The scythe is also a Jack of Diamonds which would represent a relentless person someone who shouldn’t be provoked. He has the capacity to fire off a scorpion sting. Many people in financial occupations, lenders of money etc can be the scythe card.
WHIP:
-this is another card can represent the ’2′ of something. Generally it is a card of arguing, fighting, debating or discussing. When it falls with other cards it will tell you that situation will come out in the open and be talked about. The talk usually escalates into an argument. Traditionally it suggests pain like a headache, toothache, backache. Study the cards around it to determine if there is a health issue (tree). This card is also the Jack of Clubs – a younger male found in the business world or active in sports. When the Whip and Scythe are together the outcome is brutal – but over fast.
Thanks for taking the time for answering my questions.
I hope my answers are helpful. Madame Seaqueen.
Take care,
Eva.
Lenormand Cards question from Comments section
Question from Klem in the comments section:
hello,
I have a question regarding to this card.I did a spread asking “Is X the right partner for me?”.I decided to choose only 3 cards,no representative card and I had this combination:
Man+ Ring+ Scythe
While I was suffling the cards The Key jumped out.
The Key represents wishes fulfilled, success, solution that is in the querent’s hand.
The Ring is the dominant card in this spread and represents relationship, commitment even marriage.
Man+ Ring= a man is involved in a relationship or a commitment. As I know this man isn’t married so I take this combination as being the relationship.
Ring + Scythe- a connection or relationship happens unexpected.A surprising contract/marriage.
I wonder if I interpreted correctly this spread.
Thank you very much
Answer from Madame Seaqueen:
Man + Ring + Scythe
In answering a very important question such as, “Is X the right partner for me?” using a 3 card Lenormand layout may not be sufficient to gain all the details around formulating the answer.
With the SCYTHE card falling last the answer is not promising. This card almost always depicts endings or abrupt conclusions to any situation.
When taken with the information you provided, yes, MAN + RING does strongly suggest a commitment of sorts, however it is not long lasting. I think the fact that the KEY card fell out it indicates the answer is not as simple as it appears. We can safely assume there will be news of a break up surrounding this MAN in the future months. Also, the KEY will bring news to you which will help you to re-evaluate any thoughts of this MAN being the right partner for you.
Listen to what is being said about this MAN & you will almost certainly find out what your chances for a relationship. I would suggest using a Layout with more cards to gain extra information.
“Is X the right partner for me?”
The cards do not answer this question directly, however, they do not rule out the possibility of future connections with the MAN, perhaps on a more friendly level at first. The KEY card is revealing that not all is known about the “rightness” of this male.
You may find out he is not so right, after all.
Questions from comments section
I have an interesting question from the comments section. If anyone can offer any suggestions to help out Jennifer with her question that would be great.
Comment:
Hi, All I would like to know is more information on a deck of cards I use. It has 32 cards, 4 Kings/Queens/Aces/Jacks and 4 nrs 7,8,9,10 in Clubs/Diamonds/Hearts/Swords. You use 15 cards for the spread and no other spreads are done with it, only cross reference checks to see if what you read is true. Is there anyone who knows anything about these cards, they are black and red. Each card is divided into sections, the top section would for instance have the Queen of Swords and then it has a line down the middle with four lines across and in each line on both sides a heart/sword/diamond/clubs with meanings. I am holding my fingers crossed for an answer. Thanks, Jennifer
Reviewing Zigeuner combinations
A question about a Zigeuner Wahrsagekarten deck layout in the comments section from Contessa
I was curious – what would you take away from the marriage card being surrounded by both fortune and misfotrune?
I have the following:
Fortune-Marriage-Misfortune-Widower-Death
It appears to me that the relationship in question will be over permanently, and that the lady involved needs to use wisdom so she can move on. I also found it interesting that the Widower comes before death – profound grief before the end perhaps?
Many thanks for any insight you’d be willing to share
Thank you for your question. Your analysis is in keeping with the principal meanings of these cards. I have found that the true legend Gipsy deck can describe situations in a way that cuts through the chase.
Sometimes the obvious is the correct interpretation.
The latter cards place MARRIAGE in jeopardy or so it seems. One must study the cards a little deeper because there could be two things going on within the 5 cards. It all depends on which card you are using as the focal point.
For example, if WIDOWER is used as the focus, it can describe a commitment or serious relationship (MARRIAGE) which had a wonderful beginning (FORTUNE) in the past. There could have been a major rift (MISFORTUNE) which eventually will end in a surrender (DEATH) only to begin anew.
These cards can also predict an accident (MISFORTUNE) to a person close to the WIDOWER. The MARRIAGE would represent the partner or other person.
When reading MARRIAGE to represent a relationship, then I tend to agree with some of your analysis. The WIDOWER would be the grieving stage after the collapse (MISFORTUNE) leading to the DEATH card which is the final stage. Within this final stage is the glimmer of re-birthing and often a relationship will change and go to another level but continue. This happens all the time in marriage type situations. When a separation does occur through breakdown of the relationship the DEATH card becomes like the ‘period’ at the end of a sentence.
If an old gypsy woman from Eastern Europe was reading these cards back in the mid 1950′s the DEATH card would mean the marriage is over and the person will be devastated. Those yesteryear card readers did not include much spiritual philosophy or alternate levels of meaning for these cards. Old fashioned fortune telling is quite dramatic.
concluding-Lenormand Trigger layout
Continuing reading from the previous 2 posts.

.TRIGGER line. LADY, SUN, BIRDS, SCYTHE.
As I said in the last post the Trigger line should be understood right off the bat. It will give you the foundation or theme of the entire reading.
29. LADY- Female seeker of cards. The partner of the male getting the reading. When the GENTLEMAN & LADY cards fall in the “now” spot the suggestion is that these 2 people will see each other (if living apart) or be caught up in an important situation. Coupled with the MOON card- an emotional personality. With the MOUNTAIN card-unable to express feelings. When the BOOK card is beside either of these two cards & falling in the future spots, it can indicate meeting someone new especially if the CHILD card is involved. With the STORK card- return of a former lover or friend.
31. SUN - Powerful & Positive. Embodiment of success. As a characteristic suggests a warm-hearted person, someone who gleams with confidence. In a situation, brings ease where there is doubt. Will guarantee a good outcome-something to look forward to. Following negative cards will ensure victory but preceding- happiness that turns sour.
12. BIRDS – Suggests lots of blabbing. “Girl/Guy talk”. Can represent two of anything. With the STORK & CHILD, strong possibility of twins. As a characteristic, a person who can talk their way out of a wet paper bag. Making a mountain out of a molehill. Short travel. With the SNAKE, beware of flirt.
10. SCYTHE – Abscission. The cut that hurts and when it doesn’t hurt -it is all about the act of pruning things out of a situation. As a person (Jack of Diamonds), a caustic tongue & quick temper. With the HEART card, a permanent break-up, if followed by the SUN card it’s the best thing that could have happened. There are brighter days ahead. LINK to another post on the Scythe
The Lady and Sun cards were already covered in the former posts. I want to continue with the interpretation from that point. We already know this particular female was feeling very happy due to the messages the Rider card brought -side by side with the Gentleman #28.
IMMEDIATE column contains the Birds card which indicates a great deal of discussion going on. It could be gossip but it is more like clearing the air.
SOON column (last one) contains the Scythe card. We know that whatever has gone down with end real fast. Actually faster than lightning because the Clover card represents speed as well and has a time frame of 3-5 days.
From these interpretations of the Trigger line there is evidence of a break up or cessation of further talks due to the information/news that arrived. This news was not represented in a clear manner thus as they say ‘the cat is out of the bag’.
IMMEDIATE column- COFFIN, BIRDS, TREE. Due to a change of events and due to another connection [Tree card] much deliberation occurs.
SOON [last one] column- STARS, SCYTHE, CLOVER. A mighty fast dash of hopes to the ground. The Stars + Scythe together like this means that the wish does not materialize. In fact, it has little chance to get off the ground. The wish can be linked to the news that has arrived already which eventually stirs things up to the point of excitement. Excitement is not always positive. It can be frazzled nerves.
One thing I want to mention is that often the Tree card will point to a health condition. If you are upset at some news, of course, your health is involved. This reading gives a strong suggestion that the revelation of a certain situation depicted by the Rider card was distorted and misunderstood.
continuing the layout
In continuation using the Lenormand cards & the Trigger Layout.
NOW IMMEDIATE SOON
1—– 8 ——16
31—-12—– 10
32—- 5 ——2
NOW
1. RIDER = This card is all about the movement of news. It’s on it’s way and usually arrives within a short time. As a person, for the most part a male, can indicate someone who is active and athletic. A jockey.
31. SUN – Powerful & Positive. Embodiment of success. As a characteristic suggests a warm-hearted person, someone who gleams with confidence. In a situation, brings ease where there is doubt. Will guarantee a good outcome-something to look forward to. Following negative cards will ensure victory but preceding- happiness that turns sour.
32. MOON – Teeter tottering of emotions. Can suggest recognition or at least awareness to a situation. Sometimes indicates the mother. The nighttime. Casts a shadow on adjoining cards. Coupled with the PATH card-not the best time for decisions. With the STORK card induces uncertain change.
There is a message or some kind of news that will influence the people cards from the past, the Gentleman + the Lady and to some degree the Bouquet Queen of Spades. Initially, it will come as something really good (sun) filled with promise of success. The Moon card throws a monkey wrench into everything because it causes mixed feeling about the entire situation.
Glancing over to the next column IMMEDIATE spot we have the coffin card awaiting which is directly linked to the NOW spot and particularly to the Rider card (relaying the news).
The IMMEDIATE spot has a sliding scale in this layout because you can determine whatever time frame you want before you do the cards. NOW can mean the day of the reading and it usually does. The next column can be up to a few weeks which in most cases is not too unreasonable. And lastly the SOON spot will be a few months if you are using a longer range of time. I prefer to shorten the time frame when I do this layout for myself mainly because I want a quick answer. It’s up to you -the reader of the cards.
The strongest card is the Sun which happens to be the Trigger card as well. I want to read this to mean a short term happiness because of the Moon’s influence. It tends to cast illusion on situations. Sometimes one’s emotions are all over the place from sheer excitement.
Tip: When you have all the cards in the layout in front of you look to the Trigger cards first or at least keep them in mind as you decipher the remaining cards.
In the next post I’ll continue with this tutorial reading & try to upload some cards as well. Visuals are a good tool when learning. My brief interpretation is only one way to read this trio. Keep in mind that the interpretations would vary somewhat because the gender of the person is not known at this time.

PAST-
28. GENTLEMAN- Male seeker of cards. The special partner of a female, husband, boyfriend, fiancé etc. As a person, generally a neutral card because it is influenced by surrounding cards. Coupled with the HOUSE card- a homebody. With the FOX or ANCHOR card- male connected to work or worried about job.
9. BOUQUET – A gift or token of appreciation. Fond feeling towards you. Generally a favorable outcome regarding a situation. As a person, (Queen of Spades) suggests a more mature female who generally is without a partner. Don’t worry be happy – the outcome is usually good.
I don’t know whether or not the person making the comment with the above layout is male or female. This trio of cards could indicate there was a female who was prominent in the past regarding 1 particular situation. The Bouquet gives a very positive contribution to the relationship between the man (29) and woman (28) depicted by these cards. I want to read the Bouquet as an adjective describing the Lady card (28) to mean an exchange of feeling.
If it is a male doing this layout, he would have seen someone special recently who made him very happy.
Before I continue, I will wait for feedback to determine the gender of the person who has submitted these cards in the comments section.

27. OFFICER= As a person it will be anyone that wears a uniform. News comes from this person that is more formal than personal. If you get involved with this man, he will love you & leave you. A playboy.
20. LOVER= The special man for a female seeker of the cards. Represents the male getting the reading. If there is no one special currently -a male friend, brother. In the future spot predicts the potential of a love affair.
The two cards combined can describe a variety of themes.
It can be 2 men who are business associates or friends. The nature of their connections will be revealed by the cards surrounding them. Notice they are both facing the same way. This means there is a common goal that brings them together. They look towards the left. This means unfinished business.
The LOVER’s “serious” side faces the OFFICER. The jacket the Lover is wearing serves a dual role. He is just an average guy or he is in the role of being a potential lover. There are other factors as well. Are you a male or female doing this 2 card reading? When these two cards are somewhere in a larger spread & you are a female this duo will tell you that the man you are interested in is not so playful and carefree. He is way too serious and that is a good thing sometimes especially if you are looking for a commitment.
If you are a male doing the reading, this duo describes you. Since the OFFICER falls in the past you might have gotten news about your job, or a message of a more professional nature. As a personality, it shows you are one of these men that plays by the rules. There is a task you must continue with whether you like it or not. The card to the right of the LOVER will indicate if you succeed or fail.
The two cards warn you of an announcement which involves a decision. I say ‘warn you’ because whatever you hear or learn will affect you. You have no real say in the outcome. Often, you will be the recipient of decisions made by others which in turn leaves you with no choice but to accept the news.

I am enthralled by your answer for the Lenormand. Can you help me with this answer too?
horseman (1)+ letter(27) + dog(1 + house (4) + anchor(35) + fish (34) + bouquet(9) + man(2 + woman (29)
I deducted the following: Soon news will come to you (text, email etc) from a handsome, elegant man that has his own company or is employed in real estate? The question was: who is the man coming next to this woman? Thanks

Hi Gigipetu,
Thanks for your comment.
When the woman (lady card) falls last in a line the traditional interpretation of this would be that the cards preceding or behind #29 will signify situations of the past or passing.
It could be the gentleman #28 is known in some respects.
Is this line part of the full board 36 card layout? If so the cards above and beneath the lady will give additional clues.
Yes news is on its way, in ways of modern communication. The man can be a friend of the house/family. Or he can be a man associated to a business requiring financial skills. There are 2 men side by side, 2 Kings. The King of Hearts (house)and the King of Diamonds (fish). When two kings fall together one common meaning is a man in uniform. They are both red in color so this means that it is an amicable connection.
The man (2 and woman (29)side by side suggests a familiarity or a knowing. Are they facing each other or away, in the deck you are using? There are 2 females surrounding the man – indicating a choice or decision. He is not without other financial ties and commitments yet to the Queen of Spades.
Perhaps the man if he is not known at this present time, is in the process of making a choice in emotional direction. To free himself up to pursue the woman #28 who is awaiting him.
Depending which Lenormand deck you are using, you would be able to decipher other possibilities. The Mystical Lenormand does not have the regular playing cards inset, however a lot of information can be arrived at through the Astrological glyphs.
Reading cards is surely an exercise of investigative skills. Madame Seaqueen

Hi Madame Seaqueen,
You are absolutely right about 28 man and 29 woman knowing each other and also about bouquet (9). Unfortunately the cards I have are the Titania’s and they do not have the inserts, etc.
An Update: 28 man called 29 woman yesterday night. I hope that he makes the correct choice in the emotional direction and frees himself up to pursue woman (2 as she is very much in love with him and the ex (bouquet (9) queen of spades is in another relation and super happy.
About the other two men (house (4) and fish (34)) they must be friends of 28 man and helping 28 make the right decision and forgetting once and for all his ex (bouquet 9)and concentrate on being happy with 28 woman who is awaiting him.
So much to learn and investigate about the cards, thank you so much for your teachings and understanding, with your explanation my mind is going wild with all the possibilities. THANKS.

Greetings Seaqueen!
Once again I am grateful for your wonderful and informative blog. I wanted to share with you – I had drawn several cards yesterday and was having difficulty with the meanings:
Moon – heart – birds – lady
Yesterday evening my son (who I think of as my heart) started to walk. I knew something would happen in the evening hours that involved someone I love dearly and that it was have the potential to be a very emotional; I was unclear as to where the birds fit (since they are typically worries and communication). While this new development is somewhat “worrisome” (my job will be harder as a mother) it was more exciting. I was unaware of the message of protection and nurturing that is also associated with this card. It does make much more sense to me that way, in this particular instance.
Thank you again!
Best,
Contessa

Hi Contessa,
Thanks for your comment and kind words. Sorry it took so long for me to respond, I am usually very prompt. I am focusing on another project right now but will be back soon to blog some more about the various cards I write about.
I was reviewing the cards that you have drawn MOON-HEART-BIRDS-LADY and would like to add a few suggestions.
The Birds do mean protection and nurturing. In some of the Lenormand decks there is a bird feeding a baby bird, hence comes the nurturing aspect of this card. I think there are many positive attributes with this card because “a bird” is very much a creature of instinct. They accept their responsibilities to feed the young. The cards seem to fit in very nicely with the situation around your son and yes he will be represented by the heart in this case.
When the MOON+HEART are side by side, it will intensify your feelings about every little thing that goes on with your son. BIRDS also indicate speech. The BIRDS beside the LADY (your card) shows a female who may fuss or fret but that is because she wants to do what she feels is right. Worrying about the fact your son will be walking only comes from the desire to protect him from any harm. This is natural.
Since the BIRDS card is behind you tells me that perhaps you have had some emotional disturbances in other areas connected to relationships (HEART). These relationships do not necessarily had to be with males, they can be with other females (MOON). The disturbances can be conflicts of interest, perhaps in child rearing?
I hope this interpretation sheds some more light on these cards. Seaqueen.

Very interesting, and you are correct. I had an issue with a cousin who is now expecting her first child. I have been very conflicted about it recently – she was very critical of me and has now found herself in a similar situation.
Thank you so much, I appreciate your insight immensley – I learned something new yet again!
Best of luck on your creative endeavor. I look forward to hearing of its successful completion!
