Gipsy Anger card.

My all time favourite fortune telling deck is the Zigeuner Wahrsagekarten deck dubbed Gipsy fortune telling cards. The ANGER card is common in many of the Sibilla decks as this is part of every day living. At some point you get ticked off at a person or situation.  It’s quite normal to feel this emotion although many try to practice indifference when they respond to people or circumstances which get under their skin so to speak.

As with the Lenormand deck the Zigeuner (Sibillas) cards can be used as stand alone meanings if you do a 1 card daily draw but you will always wonder why, who or what.  These cards work much better when in small groups of 2 or 3. Many times it takes 6 or 7 cards to form an interpretation of one theme or category.

1. ANGER= A card of emotions. Flying off the handle. Anger issues. Someone needs to cool off. A provoking circumstance that tests your patience.

In the image below you can see a person getting heck from another. In earlier days it was common to cuff someone or at least give the motion of cuffing them.  Cuffing to mean smacking them. Now it is not socially or personally ANGERacceptable. In fact, (most) Eurpeans are so emotionally demonstrative that they are flinging their arms all the time.             :)

Back to the image. The older gent seems to be telling the younger lad to get the heck out or so it seems. He sports an apron. Could the young person be an employee who has messed up a delivery?  The gent could also be saying to get back to work and maybe he found the boy playing marbles when he should have been working.

In a Reading:   ANGER, ( NEPRILIKA)

Look to the cards surrounding the Anger card. Who is angry? At what? Why? Once you establish where the anger is coming from or directed to you can begin your interpretation.  Here are some examples:

Sweetheart & ANGER & Lover : pretty obvious there was an argument between a couple who are involved in a relationship.

Officer & ANGER: an incident has occurred which may involve an encounter with someone in uniform. If the Journey card is nearby it’s probably a speeding or parking ticket.  If Malady is close it could be someone in a clinic or hospital setting.

Death & ANGER: I’ve included this combination because anger is one of the stages of grief.

..and so on..

A million things could make you or the person getting the reading upset. Narrow down the cards and then offer an interpretation. When falling in the past or present ask for confirmation. If you see the ANGER card in the future rows or columns tell the person there is a good possibility of such a situation materializing. Tell the person why you think what you think in regards to your interpretation. What do I mean by this? Well, let me explain. Point to the Officer card (in example) share with the person the meaning of the card & why it is a possibility it is a policeman, etc or hospital staff.  (Don’t forget it could be a postal delivery as well when the Letter or Message cards are combined).

The next thing you should do is look for comforting cards which ease the situation. If you see an escalation in problems (especially if Misfortune is close) offer some guidance.  The old way fortune-telling like my Slovenian relative did was so dramatic that she could actually spook you when she spoke, lol. I’ve inherited some of her technique but I try not to overdramatize unless of course, I’m in costume, lol.

What does the ANGER card mean to you?

  1. Hi Madame Seaqueen,

I am pleased to see that you are describing the Zigeuner cards. I like them but I still can not connect with them so easily as with the LN.

For me the Anger card, apart from what you already said above, also means frustration, like anger over yourself when you can not do, reach or be with something or someone. Also frustration from a situation that you can not seem to see a way of changing.

  2. Hi Stanze: Thanks for your comment. The Zigeuner deck takes some time to get used to and we are all drawn to certain decks for certain reasons. Yes, the Anger card can mean anger at yourself. Good point. Hope you enjoy your Cartomancy journey. Seaqueen.

  3. I really love the Zigeuner as much as the Lenormand system. What I like is the way the cards are so intuitive. Madame Seaqueen, thank you for creating this blog! you have helped me on my path so very much :)

    • Thank you Martyn. The Zigeuner (gypsy cards) are more image oriented versus traditional keywords. The gypsy cards speak to you differently each time you use them.Take a look at the Widow card when you get a chance. Is she entering the cemetery or leaving it? This will give you hints when reading this card. They are my first loves and tied in 1st place with the Tarot. Happy Cartomancy. Seaqueen.
