Hi Sammie,
Thank you for your comment and adding me to your blogroll. Your "In the Cards" blog is excellent!
You are right about the temptation that the snake card can suggest. Each card with resonate with a person in a special way. Continued success. Madame Seaqueen.

Hello Madam SQ,

I've been enjoying reading your blog for a long while now. Hope you don't mind that I added you to my blogroll!

Your take on the Snake is very enlightening. So many people see it only as a negative card. When I read the Lenormand cards for myself it often times seems to stand for temptation.

hahahaaa!!! that is so true-- sometimes-- it is what men like--- so distracted by a great body they forget to character profile the person--

which made me think-- why the snake can be a difficult card-- it is a beautiful creature,,but it is the beauty which is deceptive--

Hello Stormy,

Thank you for your comments.
Yes I agree it is best to keep the "snake person" as a ally. Someone once said keep your friends close and your enemies even closer. :)

I find that the regular playing suit meanings of the cards are in contrast with the traditional meanings of the Lenormand. I like to merge the two together and come up with a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Of course, that doesn't always work when taken with the remainder of the cards in a layout but it is fun exercise in stretching the psychic boundaries.

The snake is a magnificent creature to be admired. No arms, no legs but what a great body :)
:)

hi SQ

this is a very good view of the snake. I also look at the snake sometimes as a worthy ally in times where tactics are needed. in the conventional sense- it is the nature of the snake species- that only strikes when the time is right. In a way- snakes describe the wisdom of patience- biding their time.

I suppose in a negative sense- i view the snake as the usurper for the throne- when least expected- he or she will show herself, shed the nice skin and show her true colors--
beautiful but deadly
