Technically I should be putting this post under the Lenormand categories because the old gypsy fortune telling cards are derived from the Madame Lenormand style cards. Research indicates that Camille Lenormand had a hand in the design of this deck. Camille was a great niece of the Madame.
The 4 card layout is similar to many other layouts. A simple question. Three positions, past/present/future and 1 clarification card on top.
This layout can be used with any card system because it is standard. Any of the 3 positions can be replaced with other keywords that are more in keeping with your question. It is important to recognize the positive & negative cards prior to shuffling and laying them out. The strong cards remain strong. The will weaken the effects of positive or negative cards that are mutable- which is most of the deck.

Past #16- lillies
Traditional meaning- a long and happy life
Seaqueen’s perception- I don’t know much about lillies. My understanding is that lillies (which should be spelled lilies) were a symbol of death and brought to the cemetery. I can see how a long and happy life can be derived from that. Normally you live a long life and when you die, you live an even longer life (in the other realms). Also, of purity. OK so you have heard of Easter lilies – remembering the Christian significance of Easter- lilies are re-birthing as well. HAHA this has absolutely nothing to do with the question with the exception of “taking care of business at hand”.
Present #3- house
Traditional meaning- success in all enterprises. Near the person card (which there isn’t one) a marriage is foretold.
Seaqueen’s perception- when I see the house card it reminds me of home, family roots and the 4th Astrological house ruled by Cancer. It is also one’s inner temple. A home is the emotional foundation, the nurturing aspect.
Future #4 -keys
Traditional meaning -I guess this is the Wish card. Near the persons significator card- wishes are granted, at a distance -wishes are not granted. In this case there is no Queen #14 or King #15 card within the 4 card layout.
Seaqueen’s perception- Taking a closer look at the card, both the man and woman have a set of keys. Might there be an exchange of some sort. The key to the outcome of the future of the question, so far without taking the moon card into any consideration is a promising outcome. One figure can be the potential employer and the other figure the seeking employee, in relation to this question. There could be an opportunity coming- I see the keys as opening doors. Keys also represent safety and security -locking things up.
Clarification card #2 -moon
Traditional meaning- Honor and happiness. At a distance from person card-worries. Once again there is no “person” card.
Seaqueen’s perception- the moon reminds me of all that is without sunlight- a shadow of what is really there. Or maybe now it is reality since we are exploring the potentials of existing in other dimensions simultaneously. Looking at the moon card I think of the Tarot moon but that is not exactly the best thing to do at this point. In the card there is a bridge between 2 sides, water? road? not sure. I can see the cast of the moon’s shadow to the front of the card. I want to interpret this as what is in the foreground is not what is in the background.
If this is the clarifying card it sure does add doubt to the outcome being 100% positive.

In summary of this layout- something else will come up because even though there may be a second interview (keys) the moon card tells me – it is a deceptive action on the part of the interviewer.
-MARCH 28- UPDATE ON THIS READING. There was never a call for a second interview to this date. The false hope which can be represented by the moon. In hindsight the keys could have meant “the door is locked to this position” because the moon card distorted it’s meaning.
